In a strange way, I get some comfort from reading the pain, anger and frustration flowing from this thread knowing that many are feeling the same as me. I was just too young to experience the period from 1966 to 1970 but that must be the only comparable period in our history to be so demoralising.

I just feel utterly humiliated by the slow demise of our great club. They should all hang their heads in shame.

Apologies for not reading the preceding 16 pages, but I thought our general play was okay.  The sort of football which, against lesser opposition, would punish them.  The reality is though, it is toothless football played in areas where we cannot hurt the opposition.  I would definitely not abolish the change in style, however I would jettison the manager.  Seriously:  Bringing in BFR for the remaining 5 months.

Yep.  My logic - bear with me - being that we are very unlikely to find a decent manager at this stage in the season so we effectively need a stop gap to get us through to the summer.  Ron would have the fans on his side and improve morale at the club. 

Okay, its pretty shit logic, but I'm desperate for change, and this was my alternative to offering a 4-year contract to the equivalent of Pulis/curbishley etc.

Before my time as well, but that period was far worse than now given we ended in the equivalent of league one

The massive thing that pisses me off is when he keeps banging on about how we create chances!!??

We've been creating 2 maybe 3 half chances at best all season. We watch the same game as him and he still goes on about how we we're still in it at 65 mins. We were never in it at 0-0, Arsenal tore us apart from the start.

Honestly what can you expect when the CEO makes statements about the fans "baying for the manager's blood"?   The whole running of the club for the last four and a half years has been based on representing the passion long standing fans show towards our results as extreme , as over the top, as nasty and the conduct of an underclass.   So that the manager's position can be seen to be fixed, stable and justifiable the truth is manipulated so that the downgraded fans reputations and expectations are presented as what is in free fall.
If Lerner, Lambert and Fox had the breadth of vision to know what they are bringing about, they would see themselves as creating, game by game, New Fulham at Villa Park.   Petty, docile, unquestioning footie followers following a petty, docile, unquestioning club.
