Peter Withe on WM now has effectively just said he wants the job now.

He couldn't do any worse than Lambert, but I doubt Lerner and Fox even know who is

Hopefully they have at least read the banner on the North Stand, that might jog them along

Aston Villa boss Paul Lambert on Sky Sports: "For 65 minutes or so we were in the game. We had a great chance at the end of the first half and I thought Christian [Benteke] should have score after half-time. The goals after that were very poor from our point of view. The reaction to the goals was poor.
"It is difficult, when you don't score you don't win games. You have to keep working hard in training and hopefully it turns around. We had chances to score but you have to take them. We have to keep our confidence up. We came into this with confidence.
"We have definitely got enough [to stay up]. If we can do one or two more [signings] then we will try. It is not easy to bring people in but if we can we will. I am looking for anybody who can improve the side."

He needs to be a bit more specific re the last sentence as right now, that could apply to anyone playing in any of the four divisions...

Much the same as everyone else did. Why do you ask?
Because I wanted to know.

Glad to be of assistance.

Well, for the last sentence, let's help you.
Any fucking manager who isn't you.

Does that help?

Here's a clue Paul, it's you.  You getting fired would improve the side.

For 65 mins or so we were In the game ?
We were 3-0 down by then and could easily have been 5 or 6 !

A quite dreadful thought. Remember Wimbledon anyone?

'I am looking for anybody who can improve the side', sounds pretty desperate. Also it doesn't matter if you're 'in a game for 65 minutes'. A football match is 90 minutes and we just don't score or win any games.

I was going to suggest a load of us on here offering to pop over to Bodymoor for trials. I don't know about anyone else but I'm not contracted to any other football club at the moment so it doesn't even have to be tomorrow.

Over and over.  Similar formations leaving us with no width,  FB's with no cover when they do go forward,  wildly out of form players with no chance of being dropped, tactics totally wrong ignoring the opponents strengths, it goes on and on and nothing will change. It is obvious the players do not believe in the system and that should be the main reason he should go. Now is the time for motivation and belief, Lambert will never bring that.

Who mentioned their daughter? Give the club a call. My second option is the poor guy coughing up blood in the 'off topic'

You know what would improve the side Paul..you pissing off.

I doubt with a 100 mil budget he could fashion a functioning side.
