Carragher nailed there with the analysis on Sky there. Tactics couldn't have been more wrong.

Did he say Lambert's so thick he'd struggle to beat a woodlouse at Scrabble?

I honestly think he's as thick as pig muck.  Weren't we told we were getting a master tactician, who'd learned from his time in Germany and from doing his coaching badges there?

I agree totally. He sounds thick, he looks thick and he is thick. An absolute idiot of the first order.

You've made that point. Do you think you could possibly move onto something else now?

Im going to watch the six nations for the next coming weeks and not Villa

After months of only counting Villa goals and points the scoring will completely confuse you. Don't bother with the Super Bowl either. There will be numbers involved that you, like the rest of us, have forgotten existed.

Could you possibly not pick just on me - as you always do - when lots of other posters are saying the same thing? Just for once, try it, or criticise everyone else saying the same thing as well please. Thank you

Never mind that.  What did you think of the performance and result?

Villa are actually making the current five month long election campaign exciting.

Much the same as everyone else did. Why do you ask?

Peter Withe on WM now has effectively just said he wants the job now.

He couldn't do any worse than Lambert, but I doubt Lerner and Fox even know who is

Aston Villa boss Paul Lambert on Sky Sports: "For 65 minutes or so we were in the game. We had a great chance at the end of the first half and I thought Christian [Benteke] should have score after half-time. The goals after that were very poor from our point of view. The reaction to the goals was poor.
"It is difficult, when you don't score you don't win games. You have to keep working hard in training and hopefully it turns around. We had chances to score but you have to take them. We have to keep our confidence up. We came into this with confidence.
"We have definitely got enough [to stay up]. If we can do one or two more [signings] then we will try. It is not easy to bring people in but if we can we will. I am looking for anybody who can improve the side."

Losing 5-0? No problem.  Been there, done that. Not nice, but it happens.  But what I can't stand is what is now happening with the reporting of the club and our games.  I had listened to the match on Talksport, with 50% of the commentary team professing to be a Villa fan, and it was one long piss take as to how bad this side are.  We're a national laughing stock - and still those with the power to hire and fire can't or won't do something about it.
