Pleased with this draw. Prefer Leicester to someone like Derby or Middlesbrough.
Tend to agree I suspect Leicester will field a weakened team .

Did Leicester field weakened team last round? No idea what their usual XI is but Ulloa and Schlupp scored and I thought they normally played.

Also I make that 7 home draws in a row. Thinking about it the only really bad draw we've had since Lambert arrived was Citeh away in LC. So we're definitely getting the luck of the draw. Let's start making the most of it.

Hopefully they'll shift the Albion to Sunday isntead. The Noses have Boro don't they, so they wont be playing.

Not massively so - a few who normally start like Konchesky and Cambiasso were on the bench, but it was nearly their strongest side.

Anyone know when the date and time will be confirmed? Not been able to make a game since Cardiff at home last season, really want to try to get to this one.

Apparently not until after the 4th round replays  :(

I agree about the semis, but what a load of shite the rest is.

The FA Cup has just experienced one of its most memorable weekends in living memory, with Bradford City, Middlesbrough and Cambridge United all securing incredible results against the biggest teams in the country.

But if the 2015 FA Cup is to be remembered as one of the best ever, it needs the remaining heavyweights to put an end to the romance and ensure that the latter stages generate a Cup Final worthy of the competition.

Minnows are great in the early rounds, adding colour and surprise to a tournament that depends on upsets and new stories.

But if the FA Cup is to reclaim the end of season spotlight from the Premier League, it needs a Liverpool versus Manchester United showdown at Wembley or Arsenal defending their crown against West Ham.

The 2008 Cup Final between Portsmouth and Cardiff may be regarded as a classic on the south coast and in the Welsh capital but it was a turn-off for the rest of the country.

Perhaps staging the semi-finals at Wembley has taken the edge of the Cup Final with recent finalists such as Hull and Wigan having already experienced the stadium before playing in the final itself.

As a result, Cup Final day has become something of an afterthought, but a heavyweight clash at Wembley between two teams that have to win, rather than a game involving one just there to enjoy the day out, is what this season's competition needs.

Apologies to the all the romantics, but the cup deserves a final that will make the whole world sit and up take notice

I would love a Villa vs Boro final (is that possible?) would be awesome, I have a couple of friends who are Boro, I would fly home and we could all go together. If thats the kind of heavyweights he is talking about I am all for it. Two big clubs (yes Boro is a big club) going to for at Wembley. Would be ace.

Preston v Manure would be a cert.

Preston or Sheff Utd v United will be shown. Ourselves and Albion both stand a chance of being shown too I would have thought.

Yes complete wanker/wankess whoever wrote it! A little check would have shown that most finals in the last 15 years or so have involved their favourite top 5 clubs.

7 home draws in a row is pretty good, but need to keep that going into the quarter finals if we get there.  I'm 38 and don't think we have been drawn at home in the quarters of the FA Cup in my lifetime. Not that we have got to many, but we've been drawn away in all the ones I remember - 1990, 1992, 1996, 2000 and 2010

Yes we need a repeat of the classic cup final of 1996. What a great match that was. Or the 1980 one - another classic.

Would settle for Reading away in the Quarter-Finals again though.

Vaguely remember that, 1980 QF was upton park 0-1 last minute
81 Ipswich away Rd 3 0-1 (Paul mariner)
Yet I cannot recall 2010 !
