I just really hope Gabby does not simply walk straight back in but fear he will
If he uses his main attribute (pace) to put pressure on the opposition defence I have no problem with him coming back in.
Unfortunately, I'm struggling to remember that last time he did this...'The Mighty Reds YNWA' away this season I think.

I popped onto one of their forums and it was the usual, Villa Park is great and their fans were amazing with ours appalling....

When fans of these sort of clubs come out with that sort of rubbish I always think 'bully for them, it was a football match not a singing contest.' When Ron/Fabian is lifting that Cup in May the fact the Bournemouth fans had a bit of a sing won't take the shine off it for me.

Thought Weimann was much better through the  middle. His work rate and energy was much improved from when he's played wide.

Benteke needs to be dropped. He's not interested.

Sanchez, Gil and Delph should be the 3, it has balance.

I thought their support was quite shit to be honest. Rarely heard them. Brighton 5(?) years ago pissed all over them for noise.

I like Bacuna as well. He seemed to give us a bit of balance in the second half yesterday.

I am a big critic of Bacuna, and thought he was very poor first half.
However,he rammed my criticism right back down my throat in the second half.

Agreed PWS. You didn't hear them after we scored and even then they hadn't been anything special.

Yes, they were very quiet. Imagine most of them never go to watch Bournemouth and just saw it as a day out.

Benteke's just going through a drop in form, he'll be back.  I wonder if the death of Junior Malanda is affecting him, if so, he may need a little time to get his head together.

Hello and welcome along to the start of another week of Sportsday. What a weekend of shocks it was in the FA Cup, Bradford winning at Chelsea, Boro stunning Manchester City at the Etihad...and Villa scoring two goals to beat Bournemouth.

We asked you to vote on your favourite FA Cup goal from the weekend and the winner is Carles Gill's sumptuous striker for Aston Villa against Bournemouth on Sunday. The Spaniard attracted 30% of the vote, followed by Arsenal's Tomas Rosicky with 28% and Jon Stead of Bradford with 24%.

I think the game yesterday also continued to show that Okore and Clark should be our cente half pairing.

On current form (and I know Ron's been injured - shock, horror!) there's no way at all that Vlaar should get back into the team.
Baker and Senderos should provide good enough cover/alternatives.

Never thought I'd say this, but Clark has been excellent this season.

He has, he's started to look like the player I always hoped he'd become. I really think Okore's pace next to him is massively important.
