I know Agbonlahor and Weimann are the usual targets, but the stats about Westwod, Sanchez and Cleverley show that the creativity problem just doesn't lie with them.  I still don't think we can play Sanchez and Westwood in the same midfield.  They are too similar to play in a three and Westwood isn't mobile enough to play in a two.

In all honesty Westwood should be dropped now we have Sanchez playing well, but all managers have their favourites and Westwood is one of Lambert's.

Apart from Guzan, Sanchez would be the first name I'd have down on the team sheet. Right now, he's a joy to watch.

I think this is part of the problem with us at the moment. I like Sanchez a lot and he is easily our best and most consistent outfield player but I would much rather his contribution to the side went unnoticed as he was allowing more creative players to make a real difference.

Hopefully that will be the case with Delph and Gil doing their stuff leaving Sanchez to be the anchoring midfielder.

"Carles Gil has been brought in to give them more guile, and he looked lively for half an hour on his debut against Liverpool on Saturday.

But he only managed two assists in 33 games for Elche in La Liga last season"

Shit I don't like the sound of that.

On Wiki (i know) he's down as 5 assists.
Assists can be misleading though as for all we know there were numerous times Gil beat half the opposition slid in a world class pass to a team-mate who touched it to another player to score a tap-in. Gil would get no official credit for that goal.

He's a young player coming in from warming the bench in a much different league and he's only been here a fortnight. Oh and he cost about 3mil. He's been asked to turn around our fortunes and create the chances to fire us back up the league table.....no pressure son, just go out an play....

I don't really know if there is that much pressure on him to create and score goals.  If he can simply get on the ball in the final third and keep us moving forward then I think he will make a massive difference.

The midfield point was the key one.  Schenz should be a good signing, but he is still finding his feet, and is more about keeping the ball, and protecting the back four.  Westwood and Cleverly are too simliar, and Cleverly is just woeful. There is not enough of a creative spark, and we need naturally wingers.  And a better partner for CB.  Besides that theres no problems ;D

Talks sense?
"I like Lambrert, and the way he handles himself"

Let's not take his opinion too seriously.
