I like Rory, especially the way he's matured over the last couple of years.

However, to injure himself in such a pointless way less than 2 weeks before the biggest tournament of the year is a bit moronic.

Will be a real shame if he misses it and I'm sure the sponsors will be fuming.

Last year of The Open on BBC this. Sad.
If golf isn't already dead, it will be now in the UK. I always thought the open was one of the "Crown Jewels " of UK sport and was guaranteed mandatory terrestrial tv , what went wrong.

Sadly the governing bodies of sports put short term financial gain over long term involvement in these instances.

This article today shows how foolhardy that thinking can be

Their own fault - their golf coverage is piss poor and Peter Allis needs to be retired

Woods is going to end up like that Dupont nutjob (featured in the film Foxcatcher).

You can see it in on his face when he screws up - like he's about to do a Clark Griswold "You're all fucked in the head" rant.

At least this morning's delay means that Eldrick will make it into the weekend.

Why have sim many players in The Open. One delay and the schedule is thrown out completely
