He said "If that was Peter Withe, the ball, the goalkeeper and at least two defenders would have gone into the net".   Christian Benteke of a year ago would have come steaming into those situations and there was only ever going to be one winner,

Remember his goal in the the pre-season game against Malaga? And that was a fucking friendly!

I posted in the match thread that he received two really good crosses early on in the game, one from Hutton and one from Gabby, and he gave no acknowledgment to either player. A very bad sign, I would say.

Unfortunately for us our defence is 20% of our problems, midfield is 50% of our problems, goalscoring 80% of our problems and our manager 90% of our problems. That is before we factor in the owner. Mathematically that is a lot of 'problem'.

I just don't get it with him - even his pace has gone. There was a moment when Gil beat a man and slipped Hutton in - great position in the area and I thought that is exactly the run from wide Gabby should be making there. He might not have done any more with the ball than Hutton did mind!
