Cowardly selection from the clueless one .

Gil should have started - Cleverley should be benched (at best) and Gabby should never wear claret and blue again ( seeing him as Captain beggars belief) .

It's just so predictable,  frustrating, annoying and soul destroying .

When are they going to wake up ?

We are sleepwalking toward the trap door - and when we go down , these gutless wankers won't have the fight to get us back up anytime soon.

I listened to  Pat Murphy asking him a few questions. Lambert actually said "Can't fault them they were excellent". I can't believe Murphy did not go back with "OK Paul they were excellent than where is the problem?"
At one stage PM said "what about Gil Paul when he came on there was more speed and quick passing will you start with him next week?" Lambert replied " Hey errrr ummmmm he's a young lad joined us this week aha   aaaa.. he is 20 years old we bought him in to provide something different". Will he F in play next week Paul?????

Gabby is a busted flush.

A number of us said so last season.  Some thought so before.

There was one attack in the first half where the ball came across to Benteke who had FIVE Liverpool defenders within ten feet of him with not a single Villa player in sight.

Bold, positive prediction - Carles Gil will be the reason we are not relegated.

Agreed. I enjoyed the Second half, although obviously their goal was a downer. I thought  Gil's entry sparked Delph and Sanchez to life and I enjoyed the way our midfield looked mobile for the first time in I don't know how long. Yes our attack still looks inept but it's a confidence thing.

We'll beat Bournemouth next week and that will be a trigger for better times to come.

Gabby has to be dropped on current form. It seems the best we can hpoe for is for him to be an impact player from the bench. Problem is we have so few other players with pace. Bacuna isn't too bad pace wise but that's it really.

For anyone who watched the game, did Gil look like he has any pace?

I honestly don't know how I keep going down to watch this drivel.  We always start games far too slowly we should be getting at teams from the off, teams must love coming here we just pass it around between ourselves doing fuck it all with it, we just give the incentive to the opposition every single game.  I thought Gil looked really promising it seemed effortless for him and he actually took players on and was aware of what was going on around him, I'm sure Lambert will soon coach that out of him.  Gabby and Cleverley were fucking awful.

The Holte End singing we'll score again don't know where don't know when was gallows humour at it's best.

The thing is with Bacuna, there's always a chance that he'll nick a goal from a free-kick. That alone must make him worth throwing into the side somewhere?

Score Villa score, we're gonna score. Once you get one that's it for the month.

Not the quickest or the slowest player I've seen but he's got some skill and can pick a pass.

Sadly, several of the people at Villa are a busted flush. Lambert being the biggest one. Untenable. Got to go.

I knew it wasn't going to be our day when I saw Michael 'Something of the Night' Howard getting on the Witton train at New Street.

Until Gil came on, that was shocking.
