Utter rubbish.

We looked as clueless as ever for an hour against the poorest Liverpool side I have seen in 20 odd years. Why does he persist with picking midfielders who all do the same job? Why is Cleverley picked? Awful player. Where does Agbonlahor play? What does he create? He carries no threat and is another awful player.

We had a good twenty minutes when we brought Gil on who looked good. He plays at a tempo and moves the ball quickly and is capable of beating a man. We doubled our creative outlet from Hutton with Gil.

Lambert has talked about Mignolet making great saves, I can recall one you'd expect him to make from Benteke, but that was it. Benteke is looking terrible at the moment, lazy and disinterested. Too busy to go and whinge than shake a leg and put an ounce of effort in.

The game was dead after the second, with the players giving up.

Twenty minutes today and ten again Swansea is all our manager has managed to cobble together in five games where we actually looked like scoring. Appalling. He should be sacked, he should have been sacked a long time ago, but we will continue to drift aimlessly towards relegation, which at the moment, looks inevitable.

The thing that worries me more than anything,is i think the clueless idiot actually believes we were excellent and that if we keep playing the same way the goals will come

Thing is, we all moan like hell, including me, but there wasn't much protesting today. i left in added on time and there was some quiet chants of Lamber out, but other than that, nothing.

Maybe the apathy has overcome us all, but judging by comments on here, we all care, alot

He has to change things around for the next couple of games. We're all expecting to lose them both, so there's absolutely no point in not doing. Gil has to come in for Cleverly first and foremost and I'd be sorely tempted to drop both full-backs for Richardson and Bacuna. If nothing else it'd give us players on either side of the pitch who can deliver a ball from either open-play or a set-piece. Cissokho is absolutely woeful in possession of the football, and no amount of 'solidity' makes up for it.

If he doesn't do that he has to play a 4-4-2 and play 2 players directly ahead of Hutton and Cissokho because we have to find a way of hurting teams. That was a Liverpool side missing their 2 best players (Sturridge and Gerrard) and they have quite literally eased to a 2-0 win over us. We weren't excellent Paul, we were very, very poor.

Finally, and I don't want to single Okore out, but that's why we can't let Vlaar go in this window. He lost Borini far too easy for the opener and generally looked off the pace. He will become a good player, but in the position we're in we can't afford for our centre-back to be in the middle of a steep learning curve for too long.

There are still too many people who think that by speaking out against lambert, that you are not supporting the club.

And another thought - why the fuck have we not got an Assistant Manager? Does Lambert think we don't really need one? If he does, he's an idiot, and if he doesn't, then how extensively are we searching for one? Tony Pulis seemed to be able to put an experienced team of coaches / assistants in place very quickly at The Baggies, why are we taking so long to find a replacement for Roy Keane? There must literally be loads of options.

I will repeat what I said in the match thread.

The problem with this defeat is that we will have the worst of all worlds as a result.

We lose another game.
We play sufficiently averagely to present absolutely no threat to the manager being sacked.
He will say we were excellent, the press won't challenge it and on we go again.

What difference does our performance level make? You seriously don't think that Lerner gives a shit about that. Lerner thinks Lambert can keep us up like last season and the season before. We could have had zero shots on goal today and Lerner would not care a jot that is the clear message that is coming across or else he'd have been sacked yonks ago.

Haven't read the thread (just got in) but I can guess what the usual suspects are saying. The thing is we have several good players who would benefit from a change of management and coaching. Unfortunately the two employees that should be leaving the club that is Lambert and Agbonlahor are guaranteed a job for as long as they like. We have players in form mainly Sanchez and Hutton and Guzan and players like Delph and Benteke who have the skill level to do well in this hard league. This manager appears to have bought a skillful player in Gil and Okore looks like he will be a big success in time.

I would make Lambert chief scout and get a progressive manager in as soon as possible. Offer the job to Frank Lampard. Tell him he can play as well.

Its not all bad news, but time is starting to run out for the needed changes.

He played four central midfielders today. Count 'em, FOUR.

That alone should be enough to warrant his instant dismissal.

In his interview with Pat Murphy, who sounded like he felt sorry for the twit, Lambert had the cheek to mumble something about how much Liverpool's team was worth. The excuses will continue to come, make no bones about it.

That annoyed me. Lots

He has moved his tanks onto O'Leary territory.

Lambert has no credibility. His words mean nothing.

This.

Don't make ****** out of the fans Lambert - we were not and have not been excellent . Don't make ****** out of us. Please.

I sometimes think Lambert's tactics are either too complicated enough. Four central midfielders is a ridiculous decision, as is playing out-and-out strikers as wingers, but it's as if he spends all week meticulously analysing some half-weakness in an opposing right-back that might give him a slight edge, but when it doesn't come off, he's up shit creek. It's either that, or he just picks eleven footballers that he hasn't had a row with and lets them get on with it. Either way, I don't get his approach. At all.

We must never play cleverley Westwood and Sanchez in the same side!

To me we play Delph and Sanchez with possibly away from home when we are playing the likes of Chelsea is bring one other but to play all four today was outrageous

Gil must start and we need to get another creativity player in! Then gabby can start warming the bench!

We must play a minimum of 5 forward thinking creative players and not just three!

We still have a chance to stay up but he has to get a grip or resign
