Gil looked good. Why not start him from the beginning of the game? Instead we play 4 none creative  midfield players, who with the exception of Delph cant beat a man and have no pace. Its so f in obvious its unbelievable. Why cant our clown of a manager see this? First half was truly awful

In fairness Sanchez had a good game Apart from a couple of stray passes.

Gabby was awful as was Cleverly. Hutton did ok. Benteke is half way out VP.

Its going to be a long season and thats another £40 I have wasted

His opening statement was, as predidicted, we were excellent!!

WE WERE NOT FUCKING EXCELLENT YOU MUMBLING FUCKING WANKER

We have lost again, we have not scored again and we WILL go down if we stick with you, you bastard.

Lambert has no credibility. His words mean nothing.

Gil played centrally in a 4231 and at home and against weaker sides I think sanchez and Delph with him further fwd may be the way to go. Though I do like westwood

Feel a bit sorry for cleverley. He's not a winger

We could do with two more attacking creative players to play either side of BeNteke

I'd sack Lambert but you have to say that if he'd have been given the money any of his three predecessors got and he's likely have bought some more quality to add to benteke, sanchez, westwood, Okore, kozak, and by the looks of it gil.

No wins,No points,No goals,No hope. I have never felt so low being a villa fan since my old man started taking me in 1963 and that includes dropping into the third division

Where did Gil play?

Right wing it looked like to me.

It looked to me that he played centrally but drifted right more than left. I really thought he was excellent

There must be a playing clause in Cleverley's loan deal because I don't understand why he is playing every game.

If our silent and never seen clueless owner cared or  had any feeling for our once proud club at all,he would sack the clueless idiot we call a manager tonight and give us some hope

That's assuming he knows what's happening.

And then managed them in to a collective pile of disorganised shit playing on each others toes in a tiny portion of the pitch.

Get this fucking idiot OUT now. Fuck mocking from the media about the 8 minutes non-event and concentrate on Bournemouth. A banner, a boo, a song or 3 before kick-off and then get behind the team fully from the first whistle. At half-time hopefully applaud them off and get onto Lambert again. Carry on for 15 minutes until the 2nd half begins. then give him both barrels at fiull time once more.

Listening to WM Paul Franks replied to comment by a caller called Ash "maybe Cleverley isnt being played in the right position".

The reply was "Cleverley hasn't got a position because he's not a very good footballer"

Well said cant argue with that comment.

MANAGER REACTION

Aston Villa 0-2 Liverpool

Aston Villa manager Paul Lambert: "The second half I thought we were excellent. I didn't think there was too much in it in the first half.

"We lost a poor goal but the second half was relentless pressure from us and their goalkeeper has probably kept them in it with the save from Christian Benteke.

"I don't think anyone could fault us for the way we played in the second half. We just have to keep doing what we did today and keep getting the chances and they will go in. The fans were brilliant right from the off. At the end that is just disappointment."
