What a surprise, no goals AGAIN. I feel so sorry for the fans still paying hard earned money to watch this shit. Lerner needs to take a long hard look in the mirror because he is making us a laughing stock and those fans deserve better.

Where did Gil play?

Right wing it looked like to me.

He'll try and be positive in the games against Arsenal and Chelsea and it'll backfire. He's just clueless.

Lambert has taken a squad capable of a top 8 finish and turned them into relegation certainties. I actually really like our squad; Sanchez is a monster and Gil looks promising.

That was absolutely shit again.

One goal at the Holte in the League going into February. Has this ever happened before? Whats the fewest scored at the Holte cos we're gonna beat it this season.

let's face it. This result was not a shock, The performance was at it's usual level, Sanchez and Gil look to be head and shoulders above the rest. Benetke has no confidence at all. Gabby is just being the player he always was. very quick but the touch of a hippo.
Bournemouth will for sure beat us as will Chelsea and Arsenal. Sadly I can see Chelsea running riot if Lambert doesn't sort something out. I never want to see the Villa lose,no matter what the competition but I am sure Lambert will put no effort into the FA Cup. especially after his comments last year!
Lambert is really out of his depth now, But I cannot see Lerner sacking him!

....

Lambert needs to be braver and not be worried about losing games before a ball's been kicked.
...

I think this is the key. 3 points for a win every 3rd game would save us.

They'll probably still wonder why ticket sales are declining or say that it's the economy.

We are now the most symmetrical team in the division.  Averaging exactly 1 goal in every 2 games.

desperate
After our 15 min spell without scoring you knew they would get a second
why do we not attack the box from either side instead of just lumping it in or shooting from distance, clueless tactics are the reason.
This guy is not going to be sacked, we need to pray that 3 teams end up worse and that someone with a passion and deep pockets buys us.
The cynic in me does not see that happening in a hurry, Desperate times.

Agonising, soul destroying stuff.

This isn't a bad squad and is performing desperately below the sum of its parts.
