Not ideal, but could have been worse.

Nailed on to be a TV pick.
Got to fancy Cambridge/Manure and small heath/WBA will be live. Brighton/Arse as well. And Rochdale/Stoke.
Can't imagine the telly being that bothered by blose v albion. Not really that intense is it. A big love in about how much they hate us.

Championship vs PL and a local derby. It's the kind of tie they normally love.

Years ago we used to fear getting drawn against manure again.  Now we expect to go out to Bournemouth

1972  Villa 2 Bournemouth 1  Vowden and Andy Lochhead(in the air) in front of 48000 in the third division!!!

Its on You Tube. Watch and understand what the word atmosphere means.

Lambert should make sure our lot watch this. They might be inspired.

They are in the good habit of playing well and winning on a regular basis, will have the confidence of that and nothing to lose.
We play well every 7 or 8 games, and never for 90 minutes.

I see it as "a challenge".
I thought we'd beat Blackpool comfortably.
I know nothing.

UTV!

Assuming that it's five matches again on normal TV (i.e not Wales), ManYoo will be a guarantee, as will Arsenal - I'd then say we're the next most likely. Ours is the one that most obviously screams 'upset' given Bournemouth's form and the fact that they are now becoming an interesting story.

I'd be really surprised if Blues/WBA were picked.
Liverpool /Bolton will be one.BBC following Stevie G's last season like a needy crack whore

Well, we should win. They're doing fantastically but are still a division below us, on a fraction of our wage bill and away. Nobody to blame but ourselves if we cock it up.

On the downside, virtually all the contenders have easy-looking draws and will be waiting for us in the next round even if we do go through.

Hopefully Small Heath will get the Sunday shift and we'll be on at 3pm on the Saturday.

Can we register Lochhead in time for the game ? There again what would Lambert want with a proven goal scorer..!!

Ominously Bournemouth have already beaten Blues, Wolves and Albion this season.

They've beaten the pretenders and earned their right to play the kings.

Up and coming manager who, I imagine, would be mentioned as a replacement should Lambert ever depart. Will be interesting to see how they play and how we shape up against a championship team in form. Can't ask for more than home ties against lower teams so I shall try to be optimistic

The Holte end was electric that day, I was 15 at the time and felt so excited after that match, I knew Villa were on their way back to the top, wipes away a tear.

Good news. According to their fixture list on the BBC, Bournemouth have to play Leeds at exactly the same time they play us! Hopefully they'll be over-stretched, running back and forth between Yorkshire and Birmingham all afternoon.
