It was a side very much lacking pace today. We've definitely got to get a couple of attacking signings in. A couple of players who can run with the ball, offer some spark and give us some pace.

Would anyone else be able to supply an alternate link to the goal please.  This one tells me it's not available in my territory.

Cheer up you miserable gits. We won.  :)

You're not wrong. It could have gone worse, as it often has under Lambert in the cup. Not much to be inspired about though, sadly. The lack of creativity is stifling.

And why the smeg were Villa fans buying half and half match scarves for sodding Blackpool? I despair!

Bizarrest sight of the day though had to be the bloke at the match with a bag from the Watford club shop.

Yeah, I wanted to see how Grealish and Cole looked but if we're playing just one up front and three men behind then we need someone with pace aswell so short term Gabby still probably has to be in there despite his shortcomings.

Or Bacuna. Not sure why he was back on the bench today. He's lively and can get forward.

Was Cleverley Mr Invisible again?

Cheer up lads, could be our last victory for a long time.

I wonder what Randy will think of the attendance today.

I genuinely don't get the half and half scarves. Hey ho though, if the sellers can earn some money for selling useless tat, then fair play to them.

Elton likes to take in an away game each season!

Looking on the bright side:

We won.

We scored an actual goal.

We're in the hat.

We quite clearly ruined Pat Murphy's afternoon by the sound of it.

Same as usual I suppose, better than most got. Especially considering it was the third home game in a week at a time of year when money can be tight.

He probably forgot it was on.

Just back from a cold , barren villa park. We won that is all that matters . Id rather not focus on the performance.
We go again in the 4th Rd and roll on Leicester away this Saturday

Thats more like it!

Anyhow you are right about the creativity, hopefully it underlines yet again what must be done this transfer window.

This football is more painful than the past few abysmal seasons.
We now have zero entertainment.

I'd say we are exactly where Randy wants us to be and that has nothing to do with the game of football its about keeping his investment safe. Frustrating, but I guess you can see why he is doing it.

No aim but staying in the league - its limbo and not really football at all, its like we have no purpose.
