I was hoping that Colin Wanker would still be in charge and desperate to go for the 3 points to save his miserable arse, but it was not to be.

As we all know deep down by now, any team that comes to Villa Park and defends deep with discipline will depart with a favourable result.

------------- Guzan ---------------
Hutton--Okore---Vlaar----Cissoko
--------Sanchez---Richardson-----
Bacuna -------Cole-------Grealish
                -Benteke -

1-1

I like that selection but would prefer a diamond formation in midfield. Not sure Cole would be up for starting so Cleverley is the only other alternative in midfield

No more playing Gabby off Benteke, hasn't worked and won't work.

Cole should start he's fit, Gabby can replace him later on in the game. I don't know why i'm saying this as none of it is likely to happen.

I fully expect Gabby, N'Zog and Cleverley (if fit) to start, Bacuna and Grealish on the bench like usual.

Bacuna and Grealish to start, Palace to bring their own Vaseline.

Villa win.

Different game with Pardew in charge , we never did that well against his Newcastle sides.

Bacuna and Grealish or at least one of them has to start

That was my first thought. Pardew does well against us. Hopefully though this one has come a bit too soon for him. Crap game, narrow win.

We could go 8 points clear of the drop zone but knowing us, we won't
0-2, Puncheon and somebody else

Probably a low scoring draw. In fact certainly. Either 1-1 or more than likely 0-0

Pitch will be very hard Agbonlahor will be disinterested and Weimann will run around like a madman. If young Grealish plays he will need to
protect his legs whether he likes it or not otherwise he will in danger of a bad injury on a hard pitch. We need a result in this one.
