I think we'll lose. But then again you just never know where the turnaround starts. It should have been Spurs and could have been had Benteke not been sent off. It could have been Spurs but for a late goal. It could have been Burnley but for a late goal. You only need one of those results to come through sometimes for things to start to turn around. Who knows, it could be tonight. I hope so.

I keep forgetting we're playing tonight. Then it all comes back to me and I get miserable again.

Clark will have a late fitness test tonight so god help us if he's out, possibly seeing Okore and Hutton at Centre half with Lowton out wide?

Maybe Cissokho could go in centre half and Richardson on left? Would much prefer that to Lowton coming in and shifting Okore to the left side. Guess Herd might be an option again to come in. Really scraping the bottom of the barrel at centre half if Clark is out.

God more injuries. To be honest I think of all the potential CH backups, Herd is probably the lesser of the evils. Lowtons too flimsy. Hutton looks the part but apparently he once filled in there for Scotland and had a mare. Cissokho I'm not sure about, but his form in general has been poor recently.

I don't fancy our chances in this. They're a very hard working side. I think they will show a lot of desire in the latter stages of the game, where persistently we tend to fall apart, so short of being 2-3 goals up, we'll probably cock it up. Will Lamberk get fired? Nope. We're playing the waiting game for him to walk. To be honest I doesn't look like he's remotely enjoying the job anymore. It almost seems like he's just waiting to take the bullet so he can walk off with a payoff. He will want to be pushed out though. But even so, it's tough for us but this must be bloody hard for Lambert. As much as I don't rate him as Villa manager. He's an okay bloke and you can tell the job is grinding him down a lot.

Thought exactly this last season supertom...but he's still here and things have got no better...surely it can only be a matter of time, so if he's gonna go, better sooner than later.

Or is Mr Fox doing a bit of cunning negotiating in the background?

Always optimistic of a turnaround with every game that comes along, but equally dreading tonight's game.
Just packed a tin helmet!

Even with good sides on our visits to the Palace we haven't done at all well.  I'm expecting nothing out of this one.  Having said that, I thought we would get zilch out of the Southampton game and we did. So, with the beast back here's hoping.

I fuckin hate Selhurst Park, shit to get to, shit when you're there and I've been 7 times and only ever seen the Villa lose.  That said their atmosphere now is pretty good.
There's only one result happening tonight, and it's not going to make any of us any happier!!
