So, there's still no actual news here is there? There's just Tribal quoting a piece in the E&S saying he might attract loan attention from the Championship.

Exactly, Woofles The Wonder Dog.

I remain severely skeptical that this is going to happen.

We will know soon enough, the emergency loan window shuts today.

Could Lowton,s ( possible ) departure  be to facilitate the arrival of Dinamo Zagreb right-back Ivo Pinto ? , with whom we have been heavily linked of late .
I,m betting on a fair bit of transfer activity this mid-term.............Godzvilla!

Full backs are overated right, especially when they have no wingers to pass to or even help them defend!

If this goes through unlike the Bent loan I am against this one.  He is a promising player who will just get better with age, and is worth a place on the bench at least.  I suspect that Lambert has never gotten over the whole Sheffield thing.  I can understand why that would bother him, but not to this extent.

Non FB Players I recall playing FB
NRC , Delph, baker, Clark, Cuellar , Collins , Herd ,
Craig Gardner as well.

Milner ended up a right back away at Boro in 2009.

I don't recall but he has since been tried there (and wing back) with LVG at United (unsuccessfully).

I remember Delph playing LB for a part of a game at home to Blackburn under Houllier. A game in which Robert Pires bossed the centre of midfield, no less!

Some of us were jumping the gun in our critisism of our manager. Nothing anywhere to suggest this could happen!

Could we not send Joe Cole away for a month to get a few games under his (ever expanding) belt?

I don't see the logic of keeping Grealish warming the bench or a seat in the stand when we have Cole doing the same.  If he's not going to be used, Grealish should be continuing his development on loan somewhere.

You have a point. Maybe though if we were doing better in the league we could afford to send him out again and get experience. I'd rather see him get a run out on Saturday for us though.
I'd say it's the opposite.  Because we're doing so poorly in the league, he's not getting game time, as he won't throw him in. (Maybe he has actually learned something from that 1st season after all)

I find it incomprehensible that that the supposition arises constantly that this player or that player has fallen out of favour with Lambert. If only a fraction of the player dissent is true it reveals area of management where he is failing miserably.
I do wonder if "oh he's fallen out with the manager" is just another stick to beat him with (and it's not like we're lacking really big sticks to beat Lambert with).  I don't think we'll ever know whose bright idea the bomb squad was, but there it was open and blatant that the 3/4 players (Ireland/Bent/Hutton/Given?) were out in the cold to try and get them to move.

We seemed to hear similar about Helenius last year about either he'd got a poor attitude in training /argued with Lambert etc. and look how that turned out.

Our 2nd best left back is out on loan leaving us with playing someone out of position if Cissokho gets injured, we're just doing the same on the other side now.

Is there anything to this? The thread title sounds rather factual.
