This is the first Villa game in some 24 years of following us, going to in excess of 1000 games, that I have ever attended on my own.

I can only think of two, both in the 92-93 season, the Dalian Atkinson wonder goal game at Selhurst Park, and our trip to Arsenal that season (won 1-0).

Unless I can convince my bumder of a brother to do otherwise, then I will be making a trip to Selhurst Park next week on my own as well.

A journey of 3000 miles into Croydon, on my own. If we get beat, it will be a lonely drive back.

I remember being amongst a mere 12000 sorry souls down B6 for a Southampton game in the 80's.

November '84, my first game.

I've just had a call off my brother, he's took a shit tonight so I'm having his ticket.

Upper Trinty, on my jack and freezing cold. Can't wait.

I'm doing my hair, thought that was a more polite excuse

The one and only time spellchecker hasn't attempted to correct what I've typed from my phone.

Ads team:

Hutton, Okore, Clark, Cissokho at the back with Goose in net.

Midfield of Sanchez and Cleverley, with N'Zogbia central behind Andi [who is a central striker!!!!] but with licence to roam. I would then have Bacuna wide and Gabby wide to try and stop their full backs getting yonder.

It will more than likely be that back five, with Cleverley, Sanchez and Westwood, and Gabby, Charlie and Andi up top. Gabby being the central striker.

He has to play Okore tonight, he had no other options really, if he doesn't play it will prove there is an underlying situation

Which is why I still don't think we will see him

Upper Holte End. My pa is in Scotland with work, so not sure if he is going to turn up, but last I heard was a not likely. He has the season ticket so my brother cannot come either.

He'll play Westwood. He always plays Westwood.

This is the first time I've ever thought this and won't overly mind if I get told to do one but can anyone pick me up a programme tonight? Or point me in the direction of being able to buy one online? It actually is a nice bit of memorabilia even though Sky have messed with the dates.

I've gone for a 3-0 or 3-1 win Gabby and/or Weiman scoring with odds ranging from 215-1 to 330-1 at William Hills.

One can but hope.

I've got a strange feeling we'll win as well, backed both 2-1 and 3-2 wins with a variety of goalscorers.

Assuming they don't sell out, which I doubt with tonight's expected attendance, you can order them from the Villa site, alternative buy it from the club on ebay here Saints prog

I'll be amazed if it's not this:

Guzan, Hutton, Okore, Clark, Cissokho, Westwood, Sanchez, Cleverley, N'Zogbia, Wiemann, Agbonlahor.

Still think we'll win tonight. 2-1
