Has anyone else noticed how you never see Chris Herd and Matthew Lowton in the same room together at the same time.

Reading the last few posts on this thread I feel very confident in changing my 0-3 prediction, if Herd is centre half with Clark I'll go for an optimistic 0-4.

You would like to think that even Lambert would see the sense in playing a genuine centre half in defence instead of a utilty player!!!!!!

I don't know what the score will be but the attendance will be below 9,000 and 52,000 of us will claim to be there in 10 years time.

I've gone for a 3-0 or 3-1 win Gabby and/or Weiman scoring with odds ranging from 215-1 to 330-1 at William Hills.

One can but hope.

I remember being amongst a mere 12000 sorry souls down B6 for a Southampton game in the 80's.

Our best chance tonight is them showing up thinking they have won already and being complacent ..ultimately I can't see past them winning comfortably  2-0 or 3-0 due to the defence we are likely to be fielding.

No, sorry - all hope extinguished by Lerner and Lambert.

Heavy defeat on its way.

I expect Lambert to select Okore (because he has to) and when Okore gets sent off after conceding an 8th minute own goal. Lambert will later comment 'He was excellent.really excellent.'  Wasnt he Roy?......Roy....Roy.

I suppose the other option is to play all 3 of Clrk, Herd and Okore, and then use Hutton/Lowton and Cissokho as wing-backs, keep the midfield 3 the same and then play the 2 goal machines Gabby and Weimann up-front.

We're certainly blessed with options.

If I were Lambert, I would be tempted to do almost that. Lacking centre backs, play Lowton/ Okore/ Clark and have Westwood & Sanchez parked in front of them and have Hutton & Cissokho up against Shane Long and Mane. (Assuming this wonderful rumour that Tadic & Schneiderlin are both injured to be true.)

However, has anyone realised yet that Lambert will probably play Lowton alongside Clark and still leave out Okore?

November '84, my first game.

I've just had a call off my brother, he's took a shift tonight so I'm having his ticket.

Upper Trinty, on my jack and freezing cold. Can't wait.

This is the first Villa game in some 24 years of following us, going to in excess of 1000 games, that I have ever attended on my own.

Looks like it could be worse than 25k looking at the amount of tickets available on the villa site. We are a shambles.
