Thing is, no else sees it either.  Just been in the barbers, in Bedford so obviously the three guys that work in there are Liverpool and Man U fans, and they are incredulous about us losing 6 on the trot and think we are "decent" "no way you'll go down mate"  When I pointed out Lamberts record, they were genuinely flabbergasted.

I think thats normal. I was amazed when a baggies fan pointed out to me Clarkes actual record after I expressed surprise he had gone.

I don't think most fans pay much attention to the 30 or so Championship-Plus sides that are in our league.

6 straight defeats? Only 1 goal scored in 6 games? Villa's best striker suspended? Villa playing away in London? West Ham riding high in the table and scoring for fun?

Nailed on away win. That's the West Ham way - turning over the top teams and then surrendering meekly to the strugglers.

Hope you all have a good day out. Try and get time to see the poppies at the Tower - worth the time.
Cheers sendo!
Glad to see you are the most optimistic poster on here!

Wiemann needs to be played centrally. We need wingers, no not wingers, but a lad on either side that can cross the ball. Neither Lowton nor Cissokho can cross a ball to save their life - conserve your energy lads, and stay the f**k back. It breaks my heart to see Gabby making up the numbers, but he can't be started.

Lowton/Hutton Vlaar Baker/Okore Aly
Carlos
N'Zog Westy Cleverley Jack
Wiemann

Our best chance on Sunday came from a Lowton cross

I'm not just referring to last Sunday though. The full backs are expected to provide the width, and it is beyond them. They are so flaked from hare-ing it up the wing that we start making silly mistakes after the 60 minute mark.

Lowton can cross, he put in a beauty at QPR as well iirc. I suppose some of it with him is confidence and being a bit rusty after being out so long. Defensively he scares the crap out of me but I like Lowton going forward.

Crossing is probably the only aspect of Lowton's game that I actually like. Cissokho, on the other hand, can't cross a ball to save his life.

I agree, Lowton offers a fair bit going forward. Which is nice, but he can't defend for shit.

He also seems to bring out the worst in those around him, although I'll admit, that's maybe an unfairly vague criticism.

Remember that ball for Weimann's goal against Sunderland last year? Brilliant.

Year before if it's the one i'm thinking of in the 6-1? And not just the ball, but the way he anticipated and cut out the Sunderland pass/clearance.

His inability to defend and lack of positional sense (which draws a centre half out of position) are fairly fundamental flaws for a right back.

Maybe there's a right-sided midfielder there somewhere - he can certainly cross a ball -- but a PL right back he isn't.

Well they have gone from being very shit to finding some form with a very one dimensional manager who the fans wanted out.

You never know we might just make the same move ourselves in this one?

I wouldn't bet too much on it though.

He was never that bad, he just had one bad season and even that can happen to the best of them.  I think love or hate him Big Sam has done a cracking job at West Ham just as he has done most places he has managed.
