There's always the chance of a goal when Richard Dunne is playing for the opposition. That gives me hope.

We'd better start scoring goals soon. Monday is the time to start. Let's see some ambition for heavens sake.

0-0 draw.

We've scored 4 in 11 . Time to improve that stat. Radically.

The answer was correctly answered in the Trivia thread. Rogerio Ceni, a keeper who has 121 goals in 1135 appearances for Sao Paulo, all goals were pens or free-kicks.
Why didn't Ceni take the penalty?
Because he still had his knob in the chicken.

We're going to fucking smash them.

Is that Richard Key's prediction?

It was just banter.

Sometimes when we are completely on our arse we pull a performance out of nowhere so I'm clinging to that but there is the curse of playing a desperately poor team who can't buy a win on live tv.

1-1.

It won't be easy because they'll be up for it but I think we can get a win, especially if Benteke turns up and Sanchez is now up to speed.

There is a sense that our season starts on Monday. We have had the phoney war with that run of tough games, now we will see how we measure up against the rest. as it is so long since we have been in this position I find it impossible to make any sort of confident prediction.

Think we are going to turn up this week. Benteke must be getting a lot sharper now and with Gabby and probably Weimann back in the team, we should have to much pace for a poor defence. PS please keep Nzogbia away from the pitch !!!!

Vlaar and Benteke should be fitter than last week, agree on Sanchez. These are the kind of games he was bought for. With Senderos back too, QPR wont be able to kick us off their dump of a pitch. Guzan for me is barely hanging on to the shirt after throwing in one last week. QPR were shocking defending Liverpool's counterattacks last weekend so Id try and get a bit of pace into our midfield by pushing Gabby onto the left and Bacuna on the right. Give Westwood a break and time to give Grealish his first start supporting Benteke. Loftus Road isnt a ground for ball players on the flanks but Grealish can expose the perennially awful Karl Henry if he gets the ball in the right positions.

----------------Guzan
Hutton, Senderos, Vlaar, Cissokho,
Bacuna, Cleverley, Sanchez, Gabby,
--------------Grealish
--------------Benteke

A bit harsh on Guzan when one considers the number of times he's kept us in games to put him on the bench because of one error that wouldn't have happened if N'Zogbia hadn't given the ball away.

We are going to go there and win. QPR had their chances last week and blew it. They won't be up for playing us as they were for Liverpool. 5 straight defeats is inconceivable so 2-1 to us, Benteke with both.
