Villa on TV ..  that don't bode well

I've got no idea on this , I thought they looked alright Liverpool and I'm sure they are going to be right up for it.

We've beat them loads of times since November 1992, dunno what stats are on about, 2-0 1992-93, 4-1 1993-94, 2-1 1994-95, 4-2 1995-96 and 3-2 in 2013. All of these were at home by the way. I don't remember winning there but the 1992 November game was at home.

If we're losing, we can always just invade the pitch and break their cross bars again.

Most, if not all, of the stats are on about us away as we're playing them away. 91/92 we lost at home 1-0 and won away 1-0. We've won there 3 times in 20+ visits.

They were quite decent though in the 90's until they sold Ferdinand and went down.

Highest placed London side in the first Premier League season.

Yes and finished pretty high each season, until the one when they were relegated.

1-1 is the obvious result but I don't think it will happen.

2-1 them. Lambert to hopefully get the boot after the biannual spurs loss, that would be great.

Which top division player in world football, currently still playing, has made over 1,000 appearances for his current club, scored over 100 goals for them but not a single strike in open play?

I saw a YouTube, maybe even on here, the other day a South American goalkeeper scoring a free kick- so I say him.

It's not the Paraguayan fella is it, Chilvaret? Or is that a bit further back?

EDIT- No. Chilavert only managed a paltry 59 goals in 728 games. Pathetic.

The answer was correctly answered in the Trivia thread. Rogerio Ceni, a keeper who has 121 goals in 1135 appearances for Sao Paulo, all goals were pens or free-kicks.

I have fond memories of, I think, that 73 or 74 side who ran Leeds close for the title - Gerry Francis, Davie Thomas on the wing, Ian Gillard, Phil Parkes, Stan Bowles, Frank McLintock? I've probably got the wrong years for a few of them. They played some cracking football that year

Why didn't Ceni take the penalty?
