My R's mate dreads them playing on TV because 9 times out of 10 their awful in front of cameras, especially during the week. So that should cancel out our utter ineptness when the TV wants to put us on, on a monday evening.
I imagine given the teams and the undoubted level of shite football both will put on display, there will be about 3 nuetrals watching the game (not including the commentary team) and they'll all switch over long before the end.

I think it's going to be tortuous and low scoring, despite both teams being shit at the back.

I remember us playing Reading a couple of years back when we were in a horrible run in Lambo's first season. It was an awful game. Think we won it 1-0 (Benteke header) but the quality from both sides was utterly wretched. Someone on here brilliantly described it as "looking like two worms having a scrap."

I think monday will be similar. A result is very much needed though, as the following 3 games are much more difficult on paper. We're drek against Spurs and not brilliant against West Ham. I also figure despite our fortunate win against the Saints last season, they look better and won't let that happen again.

1-1 Benteke. Cissokho own goal for them. Dunne to hit his own bar and our bar, and then the loftus road bar, all in the same evening.
Reckon there may be 1-2 red cards too. Gabby's dished out a few silly crunchers this season. I reckon he's due a red soon.

Opposition really struggling, live on TV, Monday night - all the recipes for another disappointment!!

This for me too, it's in our DNA now I'm afraid.
A surpsingly heavy and embarrasing loss, akin to the Harewood West Ham game under DOL.

What was the last game we played on a Monday night? Was it against Albion at home?

Our last Monday win was the 6-1 Sunderland game. We had 2 other Monday games that season and lost both, Citeh (h) and Manure (a).

Then you have to go back to May 2009 for our next Monday night win, 1-0 at home to Hull.

I shall make the undoubted mistake of going to the pub to watch this. It's bound to be turgid and I have a nasty feeling about a late pen or scrambled goal winning it for them...

I'll take a 0-0 just to bore Sky TV!

We play on a Monday a lot less than I imagined.

I watched them on Sunday v Liverpool and they didn't look like a side doomed. Zamora in particular was excellent. I don't think a point would be a bad return on Monday.
