I quite like the idea of a statue of four blokes stood around a gas lamp somewhere outside Villa Park. No fuss or anything, no explanation. Just in the middle of the crowds. A bit like the postman in Porto:

For added authenticity the club could employ four young men dressed in period clothing to stand under the gas lamp on match days with a group of young ragamuffins playing around them. Just so everyone knew why they were there two of them could be holding cricket bats and the other two playing keepy uppy with a real leather football.
Over time the whole area at the back of the Witton End could be transformed into the Aston Villa Theme Park.
With 'true to life' depictions of the clubs history in all it's glory.

I quite like the piece of public art idea. I'd go for a painting of four shadowy gentleman standing under a Victorian gaslamp. To add some drama, we could have a cloaked figure with a dagger chasing a young lady in the background; an ancestor of the modern day Small Heath Alliance fans.

next time there is a stand to be named I'll suggest that our 4 founding fathers should get a name check somewhere.
