Happy birthday Villa. the 4 most important people in our history and still no stands or statues in their honour.

So why don't you do something about it?

Like what? I haven't either the time or the energy to do something that should already be done.

Why should it already be done? How many other clubs have memorials to their founders? I can think of a statue at Celtic and that's it.

because I think it should. I couldn't care less about what other clubs have or haven't got/done. These are the 4 greatest people in our history as it started with them and they should be more recognised.

So everyone should drop everything for an idea that YOU think is good but can't be arsed to do anything about yourself? Ok.

What an odd response.

I think that the 4 people that founded Villa should be recognised. i'm not asking anybody to do it as it should already be done. next time we have a stand to be named maybe it could be one of the ideas put forward.

It's not that odd a response as you keep saying there should be statues to them, and seem a bit pissed off that there isn't, but have admitted you can't be arsed to try and and do anything about it.

It is very odd that someone, and now 2 of you, is getting worked up over it. I said that we should already have something to honour the 4. I've now had 'you can't be arsed' (x2) and 'a bit pissed off' in response.

Now, again, there should already be something. I'm not going to start petitions, letters to the club, or the Evening mail but will retain the belief that there should already be something at the club. I'll try not to be arsey or pissed off about it but rather just state an opinion.

Not that odd. You suggest that an action should be carried out, solely, because you think it should. You've also stated you're unwilling to do anything about it. The number of words you've already typed on the subject could easily have been framed into an email to the club clearly explaining your wishes if you felt so passionately about the issue.

The wording that it "should already be done" suggests that you believe the club has acted improperly by not having carried out your wishes previously, even though you haven't been arsed to tell the club said wishes. If discussing whether a club has acted improperly or not, it seems logical to compare their behaviour to that of other football clubs. As I said, I can only think of Celtic who have a lasting memorial to their founder. You dismiss this saying that you "couldn't care less".

Why should the club just know that they should've done this memorial if nobody suggested it to them and (virtually) none of their competitors have done anything similar? ESP?

Again, I don't think we need this memorial. We have a tribute to McGregor whose contribution to the whole of football is incomparable. Too many memorials/statues/renamed stands scattered about the place and it diminishes the significance of his statue, IMO.

Doesn't that only work when you're doing it on purpose?
