<=== That's funny! I am 140 too.
.....and you were also conceived under a gas lamp.

Uncanny.

It's not a particularly relevant date anyway... 140 is just a number with a 0 on the end of it.

Just to be pedantic, so is 150

Yes but it has a five in it too, so it's important!

Basically, if a cricketer raises his bat after getting to a number, it's important, if not, it isn't.

You might have some trouble explaining that if you get to your Diamond Wedding anniversary.

I explain everything with cricket analogies. Then when she's looking confused, flee the room.

Some of us can remember the 100th - but we are very unlikely to see the 200th!
I remember the 100th happy to celebrate 140 i may not be here for the 150th. Rangers celebrated 140 years to last year

I used to raise more than my bat....

Yes I know I'm a big party-pooper!

I used to raise my bat if I got a single run  ;D

Oops, I thought this was going to be a thread about 7UP bringing out a twenty times stronger version of their pop.

I thought it was about how long, thanks to increased life expectancy, that septennial documentary about the group of kids growing up will have to run for...

As I am turning 40 soon (shudder) I will wish the Villa Happy Birthday too, I don't want to think about turning 50 yet!

Happy birthday Villa. the 4 most important people in our history and still no stands or statues in their honour.

So why don't you do something about it?

Do we know what they looked like? I don't think you can build statues otherwise.

I think the McGregor statue is nice enough. Too many more and it would diminish the aura around him, and look a bit cluttered. After all, every visiting club to Villa Park has founders. None of them have the founder of the Football League.

Whilst not necessarily another statue, in another decade it would be fitting to mark the sesquicentenary with another piece of public art around Villa Park.
