Just worked out my personal record at Selhurst Park. Seven visits to see us play Charlton, Palace and Wimbledon. Starting with the Easter Monday 3-0 that as good as relegated us.

Played 7
Won 1 (The Dalian game)
Drawn 1
Lost 5.

2 visits to Selhurst Park.

1 draw (Wimbledon's last home game in the top flight) and 1 loss, last season to Palace.

I've only ever been to Selhurst Park once, about 1967 I think.  We won 1-0.  I'm not too sure of the scorer, may have been Brian Godfrey.

Never remember us doing much at The Dell when Southampton played there.  Horrible ground

I think we won 2-1 the year we won the league and there was a 4-1 victory too under Gregory. St Mary's has generally been a good ground for us (touch wood)

When they first moved in it was like St Mary's was too good a ground they lost the edge they had at the Dell.  Now they have adjusted and its a tough place to go for many, but we seem to do fairly well there overall.
i never went to the dell, but always remember as a kid thinking, that's a weird tiny little ground- with tiny stands and thinking it wouldn't hold more than about 20,000

You should ask my son about it robbo. He has had to listen to plenty of my moans and rants whenever that ground gets brought up. I constantly threaten to take him there if he does something really bad or annoys me too much.

2 visits, both involved Dalian, the 3-2 win and then the 0-0 two seasons later when he had a goal ruled out for offside.

4 Villa goals in the last 9, plus another scored by a future Villa player!

I am sure we would all agree that the only goal we remember more fondly from that season than Dalian's is Clive Freeman's. Julian Joachim's goal was against Barnsley. If I remember right he was born in Barnsley.

St Jame's Park is a bogey ground for us.

I can't think of too many wins up there. a 3-0 in the fisty cuffs game must be the last time and that was nearly 10 years ago. Before that we had a 1-0 win when Shearer got sent off, but our record up there is pretty grim.

I've only ever been to Sid James' twice. Once under Gregory where he subbed Ginola (i think it was) before half time and we lost 3-0 and when we got beat 5-0 up there a few seasons back, which was the last time Andy Carroll did anything.

You must have left early Clampy, it was 6-0.

I thought it was 4-0.
