The Etihad. 1 win and 0 draws in 13 attempts.

Close the thread.

Sorry. I realise the thread is about bogey grounds. I have twisted it into places you would rather die than be there. Selhurst Park, The Manor Ground and Kenilworth Road. It says everything that I have come up with three grounds that beat The Small Heath Alliance Arena.

The other obvious bogey ground for me is Old Trafford. In my life we have only won there twice, in 2009 and 1983 ( plus the small matter of a League Cup final in 1977).

We don't play there very often but we invariably come unstuck at Turf Moor.

Until Lambert arrived our record at Carrow Road was pretty crap over the last 30 odd years.

Charlton. Don't think I've ever seen us win there and been to most games there from early 90s whenever they've been in the top flight.

Fulham for most of the 2000s too I doubt if we won there, certainly don't remember seeing us win there.

That Old Trafford one is embarrassing beyond belief. 3 wins since the end of WW2, 1953, 1983 and 2009!!!

I think we tend to draw a lot at Turf Moor but haven't won their since the 1930s.

I can remember beating Charlton under O'Leary where they missed a penalty in the last minute.

Anything in Manchester; in the last 20 plus years I can recall two draws at Old Trafford, with the 1-1 under BFR and a 0-0 under Little*, one win in 2009 and then at Man City we beat them 3-1 at Maine Road, 2-0 not so long back and most recently in the League Cup. Even at Oldham I can recall us drawing too.

That must be something like 12 points from 45 games.

[*the game where they asked us if we'd ever done the double. well yes we have thanks]

Selhurst Park. V Palace & Charlton & Wimbledon. Struggling to remember any wins. BFR and Brian Little both lost heir jobs abruptly after defeats there.

Yeah we're always toss at Selhurst, ridiculous we can never win there. Don't like that this years game is on midweek aswell.

I remember when we had an amazing record v spurs. Twice we were 2-0 down and went on to win 5-2. I think the second time we scored 5 in the last 20 minutes.

Then as spurs got better under redknapp we just couldn't beat them. I can't remember the last time we did? They normally completely outclass us too. Under mon they murdered us 0-0 a couple of times

6 years ago this weekend, NRC and Young scored. Spurs have been a poor matchup for us in recent years, we struggle against their pace and power in midfield and their defence has coped fine with our attackers.

Hopefully the games will be closer this season as our aggregate score against them in Lambert's reign is not pretty reading at all if you count the league cup game aswell.

I thought our record at Craven Cottage was better than it actually was, was sure we won a few times there under MON but turns out it was just the one in 8 games under him and other villa managers.

Surprising as you'd think Fulham would be a decent away ground as we took thousands there every season.

Blackburn is similar, our record is much better up there.

I saw us win 6-3 at Fulham around 1967.  It pissed rain and I got drenched.

my main impression of games against Fulham and Charlton away was of usually quite entertaining draws. Never been to ewood.

we won at Charlton in 2001 when Gregory was boss but soon to quit, we wore that shitty silver/grey NTL away kit and scored thanks to Angel and Vassell. We had a decent 3-3 draw there the season before, one of Ginola's best games.

We won there in DOL's first season as well. They missed a pen to equalise with the last kick of the game.

I remember being at Ewood Park for a cup game back in the eighties.  I think we drew 1-1 and won the replay.  The match was memorable due to the fact some lunatic managed to scale up the support columns and hang off the rafters.  The surprise wasn't that he got up there but, how the daft bugger got down.  The last I remember was seeing him dangling there, what happened after that is anyone's guess.

Awaits post saying that was me.

FA Cup January 1990. Scott Sellers and Simon Barker for them, Ormandroyd and somebody else for us and then won the replay with a Daley inspired performance 4-2 I think.

And no, it wasn't me.
