Baker Man Of The Match at Anfield. Literally incredible.
What is incredible is the difference in our defence this season.  Liverpool could have played for another two hours and never would have scored.

We looked awesome in defence.   Loving it.   Not sure what RK is doing but by god it works.   We now have a platform to build on.

Other than that pissed off as had 2.4 at 500/1.  Useless wankers:)

I am obviously over the moon. If 2 months ago someone had told me that we'd have won at Anfield with a defence composed by Hutton, Senderos, Baker and Cyssoko, I would have thought that he was joking!
The team seems to have found an identity and a solid defence. And still we didn't play Okorč, Benteke, and Sanchez.
We  should not have renounced to play in the second half, tough. 99 times out of 100 to build a Maginot line in the box is the best way to concede goals.

This season we've looked very well organised and you can see the experience in the back line. It's good to know that we're capable of throwing a blanket over the pitch when we've got a lead at places like that. However, I agree that it would be better if we could add to that in future by having better ball retention and offering an effective threat on the counter (which we're capable of).

What's great is I know believe we can win a game 1-0, and that makes a huge difference.

I haven't seen any comments about this but we actually looked a threat from set-pieces today. It was good to see Westwood whipping it in rather than dropping it in. As well as the goal, Senderos missed a great chance to make it 2-0 from a free kick.

Also, you can see a team that plays for each other.

We have team spirit again.    Been missing for a long time.

Min  3rd finish.  :)

We can also defend free kicks and corners.

Quietest walk back across Stanley Park ever. I had to keep my voice down during my phone conversation with Mr Shin, just in case I woke the natives from their zombie like walks.

Somehow the drive back down the M5/M6 didn't seem as long as normal. I even had time to stop at Strensham, where I had to try not to act too smug when I encountered a minibus of southern Scousers.

You could see the players loving the win at the end of the game - embracing, shaking hands, fists pumping etc...and acknowledging the fans...a great feeling for them as well as us.
Spirit indeed!

Anyone got a GIF of near the end when Rodgers was standing just looking bemused on the touchline and about 10 Liverpool fans directly behind him were walking out, thought one was going to tap him on the head as they left!

So far the highlights have reflected our dominance of the first 20 minutes.
