He can't be all that bad then can he? Then again ....when two arseholes collide the winner is the biggest one. I can't quite remember the exact details but I believe it centered around Green not being picked up by Saggers in a taxi after the European Cup Final in Moscow when Newton Heath beat Chelsea. Green was stranded outside the stadium amongst the NH fans, many of which indentified him as the Liverpool fan that he is. You can guess the rest.I think Green also fell out with Sir Graham at one point, the very mark of an absolute galloping arsehole.Yes, I remember it...'Green made an outlandish comment about wanting 'to shoot' those taking part in a Mexican wave in the stadium to which Taylor retorted, understandably: 'Sometimes you do say stupid things.' Afterwards Green admonished Taylor: 'Never, never call me stupid on air again.'

The only thing worth listening to on Talkshite for me is the Warm Up on a Saturday morning with Johnny Vaughan, as it's really old school football chat. They have this feature where they ring up a footballer from times gone by and ask him all sorts of questions about the best player he played with, funniest footballer etc. The player concerned then has to nominate a team mate from times gone by to be on the show the next week. That way, it often stays within the same club for a few weeks in a row. It's often very funny, particularly as those chosen are some of the lesser lights such as Micky Gynn at Coventry etc. Last week it was Graham Stuart and he has nominated none other than Dean Saunders for this coming week, so it may stick with old Villa players for a few weeks!
Not sure it belongs in this thread or indeed anywhere but I saw Gary Newbon Friday in one of my favourite local curry houses .

Somebody told me years ago that he lives in St. Bernards Road, Solihull. I was also told at various times by various people that both Tommy Sorensen and Maik Taylor both live in that same road. My wife always reckons she heard somewhere that Linda Lusardi lives on that road too, although I have never believed that one as I don't think she has any Midlands connections.
Almost worth having Spurs win the league.
Gary Newbon lives in St Bernard's Rd and has been spotted in various places in the locale. Sorensen also lived there and was reported to be a regular at the Dovedale chippy in Olton.
