bbc including 5 live have to report on the bigger clubs as their fans make up a large part of their listeners..However the reporters themselves are not always supporters of these so called bigger clubs. In fact villa are fairly well represented in the popularity stakes within the bbc sports reporters.

Phil Williams currently has the late evening slot on Beeb Five.

There's Vassos Alexander as well.

Which other Beeb presenters are Villa?

Jonathan Pearce isn't a Villa fan, but he used to stand on the Holte when he went to university in Birmingham.  He often has nice things to say about us.

I hate Saggars and Pougatch ( is that how you spell his daft name) but I save my pure hatred for Ian Payne, the fucking cock-end

The sheer mention of that fuck nugget's name boils my piss. I've not heard him on the radio but i was so glad when he left SSN. Atleast you don't see his face. Oh that smug fu....

I knew Simon Brother ton when he was at Birmingham University. He twisted his ankle celebrating on the Holte End when Villa beat Everton 6 - 2 in about 1989.

I do like Durham, Danter and Collymore as far as purely football based presenters go. Hawksbee and Jacobs are decent entertainment, I don't mind them having a moan about their own clubs. Colin Murray's not bad.
Brazil is just a prick.
Also, when Bosnich and McGrath are called and asked questions about Manchester United or Chelsea, there's nothing they can do but answer those questions.

It isn't Mark Bosnich and Paul McGrath that bother me, it's the station who introduces them as "former Man Utd star" and totally omits the fact that they played and won trophies with us that does.  Bozzie seems to be Talksport's man to go to regarding Manchester United, which is a bit bizarre as he lives on the other side of the world.

Your blood would absolutely boil then if you were down here.  He's one of the main pundits on the Premier League Live matches on Saturday nights alongside Robbie Slater and the caption always reads - Mark Bosnich, Former Manchester United and Chelsea Goalkeeper.   I think he played about 3 games for Chelsea in the League Cup before getting bombed out (he was shacked up with his coke addict girlfriend at the time) and lasted about a season at Old Trafford before the same thing happened when they realised he was overweight and couldn't kick a football straight.

Bosnich was once asked, which of your former clubs do you follow?  He replied "Chelsea because I loved my time there and liked the area" I kid you not.  I nearly drove to Sydney to punch the fuckers lights out I was so incensed - Chelsea FFS!

To be honest when I have heard Adrian Durham talk about the villa he says we are a massive club etc.
Hawksbey and Jacobs don't need to do the wind up bit like all the others do to get people to phone in there show is based on other things.
As for Alan bitter Brazil he just can't get over the fact we gave your boys one hell of a beating

I actually dealt with Brazil through work a few years ago, He was actually a very nice man

When I was at school, mark saggers was a sports reporter for the local BBC radio station. He really fancies himself as a cricketer, and because my school had a really top-notch pitch, he would turn out for a local side against our school first XI.

Friends of mine in the team said he was the biggest arsehole they'd ever played against. Glaring and scowling at bowlers when he was batting, refusing to walk, sledging our batsmen and trying to intimidate the opposition and the umpires.

Bearing in mind he was a grown man playing against kids of 15 or 16, I think that speaks volumes.

Has anyone else got this criceting equivalent image of Brian Glover in KEs?

Once introduced on talksport breakfast show as Man United and Chelsea legend Mark Bosnich.

I think it was both of them. The girl in question drank in the pub I was managing at the time. The Saturday morning the story was on the front page of The Sun the amount of copies of the paper circulating in the pub was incredible. My wife knew the girl better than I did. She was a real stunner to be fair. She worked in a travel agents in Solihull town centre.

I quite like most of the 5 live presenters, a couple get annoying but overall they're fairly decent.

On Wikki it says the BBC didn't renew his contract because of a deep rift between him and Alan Green.  He can't be all that bad then can he?  Then again ....when two arseholes collide the winner is the biggest one.

I can't quite remember the exact details but I believe it centered around Green not being picked up by Saggers in a taxi after the European Cup Final in Moscow when Newton Heath beat Chelsea. Green was stranded outside the stadium amongst the NH fans, many of which indentified him as the Liverpool fan that he is. You can guess the rest.

I think Green also fell out with Sir Graham at one point, the very mark of an absolute galloping arsehole.

Yes, I remember it...

'Green made an outlandish comment about wanting 'to shoot' those taking part in a Mexican wave in the stadium to which Taylor retorted, understandably: 'Sometimes you do say stupid things.' Afterwards Green admonished Taylor: 'Never, never call me stupid on air again.'
