For a nose Ian Danter is very fair towards up (I remember him pushing for Barry to get a call up for England when we started the campaign).

Probably the best presenter on there.

There are several on Talkshite that  i do not like listening to such as Jason Cundy and the guy who is usually on with him but the one who really gets on my nerves is Darren Gough.I have to turn off after a few minutes listening to his drivel !

I seem to remember one of our fans calling into to question MON after he left and was immediately cut off after being told he was better than Ron Saunders as he'd built a great side while Saunders got lucky with a team he inherited in a weak era.

Just a question but do Villa fans think we get a raw deal from talksport and do you think it's about time we got a new sports radio that is less big 5 and
more of all premier league, and to be honest don't the presenters talk tripe.

5Live report on very little else. Non-top 5 teams only get an "ahh, look at them, isn't it nice they're joining in" type of short discussion.

Just turned on 5Live and they're talking Man Utd. How interesting to hear the same shit being spouted over and over again. Formation blah formation blah formation blah...

I like Adrian Durham, Colin Murray, Stan and Sam Matterface when they are commentating, Hawksbee and Jacobs, Georgia, Ian Danter and Andy Goldstein.

Forgot about Georgie Bingham as I only really listen to the radio to and from work.  She is a good presenter and deserves to be on more really.

Ian Danter is excellent. Danny Kelly is ok. Higgingbotham and Danny Murhpy are good co-hosts. The through the night show when Russ Hargreaves is very good. Loads of content. The two mikes are excellent too.

bbc including 5 live have to report on the bigger clubs as their fans make up a large part of their listeners..However the reporters themselves are not always supporters of these so called bigger clubs. In fact villa are fairly well represented in the popularity stakes within the bbc sports reporters.

When it comes to football, he comes out with the kind of opinions you hear from the average gloryhunter down the pub.  What I do find strange, is that his analysis of cricket doesn't seem to be much above that level either.

Darren Gough/Micky Quinn are illiterate turds. Shit radio station. The equivalent of the Daily Star newspaper for the airwaves.

I do like Durham, Danter and Collymore as far as purely football based presenters go. Hawksbee and Jacobs are decent entertainment, I don't mind them having a moan about their own clubs. Colin Murray's not bad.
Brazil is just a prick.
Also, when Bosnich and McGrath are called and asked questions about Manchester United or Chelsea, there's nothing they can do but answer those questions.

Phil Williams currently has the late evening slot on Beeb Five.

There's Vassos Alexander as well.

Which other Beeb presenters are Villa?

I dunno about BBC people but I agree Villa fans are well represented in the sports media.

Matt Law, at the Torygraph is one of us. Simon Brotherton is, too. Then there's Alan Smith (who at the weekend I actually observed use that line he does in his FIFA 14 commentary about Villa being his boyhood club) and obviously Collymore.

It isn't Mark Bosnich and Paul McGrath that bother me, it's the station who introduces them as "former Man Utd star" and totally omits the fact that they played and won trophies with us that does.  Bozzie seems to be Talksport's man to go to regarding Manchester United, which is a bit bizarre as he lives on the other side of the world.
