Apparently the last time we had a better start to the season was 1962.

Not bad going.

We got 7 points from our first 3 games under MON did we not? And surely we had good starts under Gregory? Don't think that stat is correct.

Better start. Which would be winning the first 3.

It's correct because it's about better start not similar. However had ONLY 6 points!

Sorry yes just put my glasses on!

As an aside Curtis Davies has done well since he left us but he seems to have developed the Gary Cahill syndrome of having complete and utter shockers when he returns to VP.

They just showed the treatment of Grealish on MOTD2.  Quite shocking how didn't anyone get sent off?  Blokes career could've been ended before its started.

Fair play to MOTD2 for their piece after the game highlights showing Hull's attempted assassination of young Jack. Great to see him smiling afterwards. And I still couldn't see any shin pads

None of them looked like offences deserving of a red card. A referee can't give a decision just because he is younger and weaker than lots of other players.

Great to see him getting game time though.

Mr Bruce reckons today's defeat was "Probably worst I've seen us in my two years here."
Didn't he say something very similar when we beat them 3-1 last year?

Nope he was congratulating the filth because they stayed up.

I would have liked them to have omitted Jack altogether and spent much more time debating and illustrating Arsenal's future line ups personally....

Yep.  Watching MOTD 2 reminded me of two further observations that I made earlier today.  One was how badly Curtis Davies played (still surprised to see him taken off at HT unless he was injured) and the other one was how much weight Steve Bruce has put on.  Now I accept that many of us might not be in a position to talk, but he is massive now.

Third !!
And with the next four games very winnable we could easily be higher come October

Can you give the next pre match team talk?

Forget pre-match, it's the half time team talk where we have problems.

They all happened in a really short space of time, it looked like an orchestrated effort to kick him out of the game. Reflects really well on him that he didn't allow himself to be intimidated. He's going to to be some player.

He only said that because he couldn't bring himself to praise our performance.

Just seen this on Twitter.

Jack Grealish's inevitable leg-break will hopefully be met with the contempt it deserves.  Get some decent shin pads you show pony
