Third !!
And with the next four games very winnable we could easily be higher come October

Can you give the next pre match team talk?

Any news on Vlaar? It looked like a calf strain to me.

Could be a month out then with his injury record. Not the worst time for an international break.

Aslong as he doesn't injure himself further playing for Holland...

Just watching the match on sky. Some observations:

Most dominant home display I can remember in absolutely ages. Possibly since houllier

Haven't seen one long ball. Hopefully reflects a new direction. But would point out that a) the pressure on the ball from hull is appalling - they let us play; b) I wonder if we will have the discipline to play like that once benteke is back

Gabby and Weimann excellent.

Weimann taking corners?!?

Empty seats

The next few games are big ones, the empty seats will be filled. Especially if we sign a couple of gems on deadline day.

Westwood haters? Really? Wouldn't it have made sense just to say that you think Westwood has been excellent so far?

Gabby and Weimann were great the first half, our problems started when they ran out of legs and the pressure on their midfield dropped away. Best first half of football for years but we need a couple in.

No. I'm particularly interested in the views of people who think he's fundamentally not premier league standard.

Then why not ask that question rather than the childish "Westwood haters" comment?

Apparently the last time we had a better start to the season was 1962.

Not bad going.

Mr Bruce reckons today's defeat was "Probably worst I've seen us in my two years here."
Didn't he say something very similar when we beat them 3-1 last year?

According to their message boards they always used to lose away at Brighton. Apparently they see us as their new Brighton.

We played like the home team. Feels like years since I've seen that.

We got 7 points from our first 3 games under MON did we not? And surely we had good starts under Gregory? Don't think that stat is correct.
