Third !!
And with the next four games very winnable we could easily be higher come October
Yes the ascent on the north face of Eiger starts with the Liverpool game and ends mancity at home. 4 points from those 4 games will do.

I am also devastated by the news that Brian doesn't live in Nice. I thought that a certain TV star was paying for his father to have a comfortable retirement in the south of France.

I may never believe in anything ever again.

The only thing I believe in is life after love.

Just thought I'd Cher that with you.

Hull were absolutely terrible, it has to be said.
I think there was a team there that made them terrible.

I don't really live in Nice FMWMU.   I started posting from there on holiday once and never bothered to change.   Worth the 200 mile round trip today though, especially as I had the pleasure of watching the game with Damon's son.

Oh Brian and I always thought you did and had a lovely image of you following Villa from down there!

Third and 5 points ahead of Everton and the Red Shite after 3 games! I'm easily pleased but I'd have taken that before the season started! 😉 And just savouring all the positivity on here tonight!  Now time for some rum and cokes to celebrate. UTV!

One of the best first half displays I've seen down Villa park in quite a while, quick accurate passing, quick in the tackle breaking up play whenever Hull got on the ball, fair play to Gabby he was excellent, Senderos bossed the defence and really impressed me, sat back a bit 2nd half but they were always going to come at us but we held out more comfortably than in the last 2 seasons, what a happy day.

First half i thought we were great. Second half, despite being 2-0 up, we really needed that third goal to kill the game off.

That was Gabby's best game for a while and bearing in mind we were likely to catch them on the break, i'm not sure why he was taken off. I thought Sanchez struggled a bit but that's going to happen at first i suppose and the tackles on Grealish in such a short space of time were a bit naughty. Thought Cissokho was great again as well.

Sorry John, if I could turn back time, I'd change it all for you.

If we had not scored those two goals then we would have lost that. Anyone trying to take positives is deluding themselves, it is only facts keeping us away from the relegation places.

Any news on Vlaar? It looked like a calf strain to me.

It's even worse than that. If we hadn't scored any goals this season and had conceded three in each game we'd be in real trouble now.

Just rewatched the game and there was a close up of Lambert just after Vlaar went down injured.  He looked so distraught I almost felt sorry for him.

Could be a month out then with his injury record. Not the worst time for an international break.
