Winning two matches with only one shot on target would be amazing...

Winning 2 matches back to back.  Just imagine that.  ManUre have their trebles and doubles & cup wins, we can but dream of winning 2 football matches one after the other.

Fucking abysmal.

well, after a bright start, it's pissing it down here now, so I'm going to have a nice cup of tea and a big bowl of temazepam. Wake me up in in the Spring with some good news.

This thread sums up why Villa fans are basically twats.

Fantasising over imaginary events, moaning about them before they've even occurred, FFS.

How about we dwell instead on the fact that our league start has been pretty decent, and would be very promising indeed if we can add three more points on Sunday?

I'm thinking about hanging the washing out but not sure if it will rain. What do you reckon?

Yes, I think to be called a twat for being a Villa fan will have me tearing the bed sheets in the small hours in a fever of guilt and self blame.

I think werewolves are twats, they're just angry Richard Keys-alikes.

There, I've said it.

So a few people commenting on an internet thread makes all Villa twats? You may want to work on your friend making skills.

Of course it doesn't. It's odd that you would all hang off what is clearly a sweeping and exaggerated line, rather than focusing on the actual point I'm making.

Again, I find threads like this, where people are apparently fantasising about hypothetical negative scenarios, to be strange, and possibly indicative of a trait that seems prevalent among many Villa fans to be negative for the sake of being negative.

The last few years have been shit. Wednesday was shit. But I think, on the whole, we're showing signs of improvement. Put simply, criticise them for things that have actually happened, not for events which may (or may not) occur in the future.

I don't know what is odd about people responding to being called a twat. You can, and did the second time, make your point without resorting to the twat comment.

It's a thread taking the piss out of a manager seemingly hell bent on breaking as many negative club records as he can. It's light hearted and actually not critical of anyone.
