This thread sums up why Villa fans are basically twats.

So a few people commenting on an internet thread makes all Villa twats? You may want to work on your friend making skills.
Of course it doesn't. It's odd that you would all hang off what is clearly a sweeping and exaggerated line, rather than focusing on the actual point I'm making.

Again, I find threads like this, where people are apparently fantasising about hypothetical negative scenarios, to be strange, and possibly indicative of a trait that seems prevalent among many Villa fans to be negative for the sake of being negative.

The last few years have been shit. Wednesday was shit. But I think, on the whole, we're showing signs of improvement. Put simply, criticise them for things that have actually happened, not for events which may (or may not) occur in the future.

I think it's a Brummy thing, I am like this about everything.

Fuck this thread!  Despite Wednesday set back we have had a solid start so there is no need to be negative for the sake of it ::)

LOL - if you supported Villa long enough, you'll know there will always be those with negative views. I said once before - we would sign Messi and someone would gripe he was too old!

Stupid thread basically

Fantasising over imaginary events, moaning about them before they've even occurred, FFS.

How about we dwell instead on the fact that our league start has been pretty decent, and would be very promising indeed if we can add three more points on Sunday?

Or alternatively are people who have different views to yours.

I reckon we will lose to a lower league team in the cup again.  Oh no that's already happened.

Here's a good one:

Clean sheet today and it's the first time we've kept three clean sheets at the start of the season since 1900.

Sure, but if the result was 0-0 then you just watch that clear sheet being turned into a negative!

It's a thread taking the piss out of a manager seemingly hell bent on breaking as many negative club records as he can. It's light hearted and actually not critical of anyone.

To be fair to the Werewolf, I too thought it was a bit much criticising Lambert for stuff we've made up.

I was thinking more of failing to get the ball into the box, first Premier League team to lose to Orient, that kind of thing.

Apparently we have never started the premier league with 3 clean sheets. There's a good one Lambo can achieve.

Seen it somewhere, but I believe you have to go back to 1900 to find when we last achieved it. These opening two equal a record that's stood since the '30s.

Paul Lambert hails Aston Villa's start to the season as "fantastic" after earning a 2-1 win over Hull at Villa Park.

Only once to be fair.

Three clean sheets is a great start to the league season, especially given how weak we've been at the back in recent years.  I still think we should let the assistant manager take charge of cup games though, like most other teams do with their second choice goalies.

He's probably got the record for the most brown-nosed comments towards a chairman
