Maybe we're going to be better, but even more boring, this season!

Even more boring? Christ.

From the Villa Twitter timeline it sounds like we've had some decent chances, or half ones, but jizzed them up the wall. Points to a frustrating 1-0 loss.

I think a striker and a quality winger in the next 4 days are pretty important.

If I was a betting person I'd put money on that scoreline.

Official dude on the match console reckons that Benteke has recovered as far as jogging and kicking the ball, and is ahead of Kozak.

Possibly the highlight of the first half.

Certainly are. Benteke will make a huge difference but the creativity is still poor

I see we've had one shot on target tonight though. That's quite good for us by half time

At the game and its not been great.  Being played at pre season pace really and we haven't created much at all.  We've been a bit of threat in the wide areas with Bacuna looking quite sharp and Hutton getting forward quite well.  They haven't been up to much but have had two great chances.

That's what Lambert said during the pre-match interview.

It does very much point to a defeat doesn't it? It just has that familiar feel

Really can't see joe cole working as the number 10 in a 4231. It just feels very toothless. He's not enough of a threat.

Is grealish doing anything?

If we do lose, it'd fit nicely into our little habit of losing to lower league opposition of recent years. We'll look back and laugh.

We don't just need benteke back we need some creativity in midfield and a winger fast.
