Very much so Ger. very solid, wasteful but at least we created chances. Importantly we have some key pieces to come in who are all upgrades on the players that started today. Even Joe Cole can add something. Plus if we can get one more in, of genuine quality in midfield it will help immensely.
Very encouraging start indeed.

Some very good performances, particularly from Cissohko, Vlaar and Delph.

I liked the way none of the players looked like they were shitting themselves with 20/25 to go, unlike myself and Villa over the last couple of seasons.
