A long time ago , which is a pity because it used to be ideal. They play a few games at Burton now.

No. But being a Silhillian, you should be okay.

We turned up to Bodymoor Heath today to watch the u-21s game, having checked on the website that the game was on. On arrival, we found out from a security guy that the game was being played behind closed doors, as 'Joe Cole fancied a game'.

Shame the fans couldn't be informed about this in good time.

I watched the AVTV screening of the Game vs Stoke and there seemed to be quite a few spectators around the Pitch  ...........................Godzvilla!

Thanks, Godzvilla.

As Humphrey Bogart said in 'Casablanca', it appears we were misinformed!

We sent a complaint in to the website, so we'll see what happens.

Villa got back to us and were very apologetic, offering us a pair of free tickets for today's game that we couldn't attend due to previous commitments.

Very pleased with this treatment -good to know that our club listens to its supporters when things go wrong.

Random thought - what has happened to Michael Drennan?

Was much rated a couple of years ago, hardly heard him mentioned of late.

In future they are also going to try and make sure it is on the website as soon as they know a game is behind closed doors.

I could be wrong but I think I was once told that technically all games at Bodymoor are behind closed doors, because if they were announced as being open it would have to be regarded as a sports ground with all that implies for safety legislation and facilities. Fortunately common sense usually prevails and it's rare that anyone is turned away without good reason.
