You could have a drink at The Wellesley in Knightsbridge, Randy's favourite watering hole. £75 minimum charge then hail a black cab to B6.

Interesting to hear that it was so busy on Saturday. If they can keep it up it will justify the £3 entry, but they won't be seeing me whilst they charge that much.

Randy drinks in the Wellesley?  I've not seen him yet but will keep an eye out during future fag breaks as I work next door.

We normally catch AV1 but it wasn't running on Wednesday so I drove in and parked in lekky avenue.  I walked past the Tavern going to the ground and it was about as busy as Wetherspoons on a wednesday evening. Walking back to the car I expected it to be six deep at the bar but there were barely six people in there.  Looks like words gone round and its doomed to failure unless they do something  about the admission price and the cost of a pint!

I don't agree with the £3 in etc, but an evening LC game against Orient probably isn't the best time to judge their business model.

The £3 entry should surely include your first drink! Still it's so close to the ground I guess many will choose to pay it. Not for me I'm afraid. Would rather go into The Holte or even pay into The Lions Club at least you get a programme for that so it's effectively only £1 in (if you want a programme that is).
Looking at the fixture dicking about it's not a concern for me anyway til late October now .

Went after the game. Still £3 to get in but what a beautiful building. It's massive inside and still to be finished. £3.75 for a carling but that's the world we live, £3.30 in a whetherspoons in town. So to be in a decent place with like minded people isn't the worse thing in the world.

Working in solihull I would think you are wrong but anyway it was £3.30 a pint in town today so not surprised on paying what we did by the ground this evening.

Still charging £3 after the game? That's a bigger piss take than pre match. They can definitely jog on.

Impressed with the free pork bap..

Also, and I agree that in this modern enlightened age these things should be of no significance in shape or form what so ever, all the bar maids are easy on the eye.

Can't vouch for the fizzy pop lager but the Doom Bar was a decent pint.
