I left the Holte during the pens (as I see myself as a bad omen). me and this other bloke sat on the wall outside. People came spilling out when they needed to score to get through and they all rushed back in when Bossie saved it. When we finally won me and this complete strange bear hugged and danced about for about 10 secs.

Kent Neilson against Inter.

Gary Shaw's late goal to level the aggregate score against Barcelona.

Gary Shaw's late winner against Small Heath in 1983.

Peter Withe's winner against Small Heath the following season. Van Den Hauwe's back pass didn't reach Coton due to all the water on the pitch.

Tranmere for me too, such a great atmosphere.

Peter Withe's last-minute goal against the Baggies when we won the league in 1980-81. The game looked destined for a draw, then Brendan Batson, the Albion defender, passed it back to his Goalkeeper Tony Godden and Withey nipped in to lob it over him - the Holte went mental even though the goal was at the opposite end! Such an important goal in the title race.......

I have never seen footage of the goal With scored against the albion, did they have cameras at the game?

I'm sure someone found it and posted it on here or I'm imagining it.

Any of the three goals that helped relegate Coventry City. One being Angel's first goal for the club.

Still remember Merson's winner.

Kent Neilsen v Inter
Teale and Atkinson v Tranmere

And strangely Savo v Sheffield Wednesday in 1995/96 - he out-jumped Chris Woods about a yard out after Lee Briscoe had mis-cued a clearance over his own head on the byline towards the Trinity.

Yeah right. Ground bursting at the seams and 2 off the capacity.

A friend of mine at school played for the district side that night and his Dad went to watch him play. They both had season tickets in the seats somewhere.

I've got the Peter Withe g oal against the baggies from 80-81 on dvd lifted from a vhs tape. I gave the club a copy of Gary Shaw's goals from the away tie in Valur in the European cup winning campaign in 1981/82. They aren't on the club's official dvd. Don't think they've uploaded them on the OS some 5 years later....

All the one's mentioned above but a strange memory for me rather than a celebration was Charlton Athletic December 7th 1968 when there were barely 5,000 on the Holte in a crowd of about 12,000. It highlighted how massive, lonely and intimidating a terrace it was with the odd sporadic chant echoing around like the acoustics in a cathedral. I think this is more vivid because of the other extreme against Cardiff a few weeks later when it was pretty full for a Brian Tiler debut goal, so I'll claim that as my most memorable Holte end celebration.

The third goal against Tranmere is simply untouchable for me given the monumental importance of it.

More recently the goal by Benteke against QPR.  I felt for the first time in years the crowd and the the players were pulling together in adversity.  All the goodwill that lambert spectacularly blew last season.

Ash's goal against small Heath in the 5-1.  The 4-2 against Liverpool under BFR was something to behold.

Speaking of Charlton, I was one of the fortunate crowd that witnessed the 11-1 win.  It was around my birthday in November IIRC.  I can still recall the headlines in the News of The World the next day:  Villa Shooting Boots Size Eleven.

The two goals vs Ipswich in 1993 were tough to beat, Yorke header from a flowing move, Deano's 40 yarder. Both in front of the Holte.
