Looking at the table, the thing working most against Newcastle is that, if Hull win, then they have to win as well, because of that goal difference. I could see them maybe scraping a draw, but one point in 30 tells its own story. Three points is probably beyond them.
Is it safe to listen to radio 5 again as I nearly had a Rick Mayall Comedy Strip moment when Spandau Ballet's 'Gold' was stuck constantly on while I was driving back along the A14 yesterday? At one point I thought George Sephton, Liverpool's Tannoy announcer who they had in the studio was about to burst into tears. I've never heard of such self appreciating bollocks in all my life.

Wasn't that awful, I caught some of it on the way out to lunch with friends. The statement that perhaps Liverpool, in their view, is the most sentimental city in the United Kingdom is a contender for understatement of the century. I felt quite sick listening to it, I wonder if the media know what effect it has on fans of other clubs when they pedal this sort of stuff?
Out of interest, does anyone know when Stephen Gerrards last home game is? There appears to have been a media blackout, or else they seem to have forgotten to mention it.
