Sadly, I think the most Hull will get is a draw and I suspect that Newcastle will just sneak past West Ham, even given Big Sam's desire for revenge. The media will be all over the Geordies at the weekend without giving Hull or Sunderland a second thought. They are, lest we forget, our third favourite team after Villa and Liverpool judging by the amount of attention both they and the scousers get

Is it safe to listen to radio 5 again as I nearly had a Rick Mayall Comedy Strip moment when Spandau Ballet's 'Gold' was stuck constantly on while I was driving back along the A14 yesterday? At one point I thought George Sephton, Liverpool's Tannoy announcer who they had in the studio was about to burst into tears.  I've never heard of such self appreciating bollocks in all my life.

The statement that perhaps Liverpool, in their view, is the most sentimental city in the United Kingdom is a contender for understatement of the century. I felt quite sick listening to it, I wonder if the media know what effect it has on fans of other clubs when they pedal this sort of stuff?

I didn't really pay any attention whatsoever to the Steven fucking Gerrard love in at the weekend.

Suffice to say I was rather chipper when I found out that not only had Villa pissed all over his chips at Wembley a few weeks ago but Palace managed to drop a massive turd on them on Saturday evening as well.   Bravo to the cheeky south Londoners.  Hurrah.
