Is this a bad thing fbriai?
Or is it because they are unbearable smug twats like Yanited, Citeh and Chavski are here?

My mate Stefano - lives in Montecatini - is a lifelong Juve fan so I'm quite pleased for him.
However, if a few well-deserved digs are appropriate I will be happy to oblige! ;-)

They are considerably worse than United etc - imagine all the conspiracy theories about United turning out to be true, and then some. There used to be a whole website devoted to the bits of 'luck' which went in Juve's favour.

However, Serie A's in such a painful situation these days (and Juve don't cheat like they used to - they are just that much better than everyone else in Italy, tbh) that I'm pleased for them. It's great to see Italy back in the final, and great to see the spoilt children at Real wailing in misery at not winning the CL, the diddums.

Maybe the wrong thread, but while we're on the subject, is it true that the Premier League might be losing a Champions League place due to English clubs' poor performance in Europe?

I do hope so.

Yeah, not bad. Platini, Boniek (sp?) and about half-a-dozen of the Italy team that had just won the World Cup.

Went to the Atlas by the sty after the game to see the topless barmaid. It was closing as soon as they ran out of beer, to be replaced by the iron head which is now the subject of turf wars between nocturnal painters with blue and white or claret and blue paint when we play them.

Not a war likely to resume for a few years then.

God willing.

Our little friend almost got arrested when painting it for the third time over the weekend leading up to the infamous Monday night game at the Sty.

In his pants at seven o'clock on the Monday morning as buses packed with commuters were going past on their way to work. That's dedication.

And that Juventus team weren't even (according to reports - I missed the other one) the best team to play here that year. Moscow Spartak were even better.

If I remember correctly they were talking about it on Talksport a few weeks back and if English teams perform as poorly in the CL next season we are in danger of losing a place to another country. I can't remember which country or countries were in line to take our place if they do better than us next season though. Good to see Evra, Pogba and Pique continuing to prove that when you leave Manchester United the only way is down.

They are the Italian equivalent of Man Utd, FMWMU. You get the picture.

By way of an anecdote, my lad hasn't really shown any interest in football as yet, but he still came home from a school a couple of months ago singing 'viva juve, viva juve'. I don't think he even knows who or what juve are, to be honest.

I didn't watch the game yesterday evening. I actually fell asleep while I was reading a story to the kids, but we had the windows open as it's starting to warm up now, and I was woken up by the cheering from the other houses when they scored. It wasn't as loud as when Italy score during a World Cup, which is like being in curva (in the stands), but it was loud enough to rouse me from my sleep.

Spartak were the best passers of a ball I had ever seen. Although the only one in their team I could name all these years later is the keeper Dasayev. For Juventus I can remember Zoff, Gentile, Cabrini, Brio, Scirea, Tardeli, Platini, Boniek, Rossi and Bettega. I'm missing the winger aren't I? I will kick myself when I remember. Was it Conti or did he play for Roma?

I should add that on top of that, you have all of the calciopoli back-drop, too, which doesn't help.
