Sako looked good for Wolves today.

And the Brentford pitch invasion was a further stain on football's good name. Obviously.

What I don't get is why the Watford fans ran on the pitch in cerebration yesterday considering they already knew that they were going up and that the title was snatched away from them?

Think Norwich are strong favourites in the PO but it would be a good story if Brentford went up.  MM has done a great job on little money at Ipswich and I expect them to be back in the mix next year if they don't make it this time.

Am almost 100% sure that SM will be going to Newcastle now.  Still think he has done well at Derby, but they really did blow it this year.  Then again if Newcastle are going to be a Championship side anyway then his options just got a bit more tricky...

Yes he did.

Brentford have been a hooligan scourge on West London ever since the heyday of gang leaders Sid and Doris Bonkers.

Watching MOTD last night, Ulloa is such a cracking little player.

Another thing about MOTD last night, I've no idea who was commentating on the Liverpool game but the way he was going on when Gerrard scored, you would have thought he'd just scored his last goal before leaving to have a life saving operation. It was so over the top.

I suspect he will be back on merseyside inside 6 months

Yeah just think what he'll be like when Gerrard gets sent off again in his final Anfield game! lol.

It was Pearce, wasn't it?

That interview with Gerrard afterwards was teeth-itching. He sounded really smug:

'Was that the best header you've ever scored?'
'The one in Istanbul was pretty good.'
'I forgot about that one.'
'I haven't.'

Player manager of Tranmere? Although if they can't have their beloved FSW back the Liverpool fans would probably want Steevee. With King Kenny as general manager probably. They really don't like letting go do they?

I thought Carver gave a good interview. I'm hoping for the worst not only because they're relegation rivals but because of what he said earlier on in the season just before we played them.
Yep, he behaved like a twat in our game, karma .

After correctly predicting prior to midweek that after several previous outbursts Nigel Pearson's best was yet to come  I now predict that John Carver will, in true rock style, leave his best outburst for his encore before he exits the Newcastle stage. Probably never to be heard of again.

I don't understand why the "pitch invasion" at Blackpool v Huddersfield (that seemed to involve no more than a couple of hundred people) should have caused the abandonment of the match.  Surely it wouldn't have been that difficult to clear?

I fully expect Carver to be sacked tomorrow. He's even gone public in blaming his players and insinuating that there are some that are actively trying to avoid playing. His position is untenable IMO.

I would imagine Carver's relationship with his players is beyond repair. I don't know what other short term options there are at the club but I would imagine he will stay there until the end of the season then be given the push. Although this is Newcastle and Ashley so don't bet against him getting a ten year contract.

Not wishing to make light of a person's disability but, I believe one of the pitch invaders did so on a mobility scooter!

Will Ashley pay the compo for McLaren and his wage demands or gamble on Carver til the summer .

The media are convinced that McLaren and Newcastle is a done deal. But am I right in saying that in appointing previous managers like Kinnear, Hughton and Pardew, two were out of work and one was already on the staff. So that would be three managerial appointments where he has avoided paying compo. Did he also appoint Keegan as well? Who was also 'available'.

Dave I am pleased he did as it shows these devices are allowing people to lead a "full" life!
