WBA will roll over next week

Correct.

Wrong.

I'm sure if the fans were playing they'd gladly roll over. The players won't.

I think we will discover the bitter players and manager will be all too happy to "accidentally" keep Newcastle up at our expense.

But hey, I don't blame you both for hoping for some integrity from WBA. I have a rather lower opinion of them :)

Beating the toon will make the other bunch of self righteous stripey 6 toed twats mathematically safe, so I can't see Pubis not making them put the effort in.

On Carver:

Irish Independent journalist Dion Fanning:   "John Carver seems to have taken Nigel Pearson's midweek press conference as a personal challenge. Astonishing performance."

Jason Manford has had to issue an apology after describing the Chairman of Blackpool FC as an odious ferret.

Dear fans,

After my earlier post regarding calling Karl Oyston of Blackpool FC an ‘odious ferret’ I've been contacted by my lawyers.

So I would like to retract my comments, they were unfair and misjudged and I can only apologise for letting myself, my family and my fans down. The last thing I want is to cause upset and to be taken to court over a silly comment.

I can only hope that my apology is accepted by ferrets and ferret owners everywhere. They of course make lovely, loving, loyal pets & are easily trainable & entertaining. To compare them to that total bell*** was an insult to ferrets and for that I am sorry. To be even be mentioned in the same sentence to that knuckle-dragging slimy c********* was a miscalculation on my part.

Regards,

Jason Manford”

Darren Bent's missed penalty today cost me £176. A pox on his house.

I thought Carver gave a good interview. I'm hoping for the worst not only because they're relegation rivals but because of what he said earlier on in the season just before we played them.

When a manager sets up with a diamond against 352 you've got to wonder. It's like tactics lesson number 1. Unbelievable

Newcastle in massive trouble I think. Who are they gonna be able to play next week

Just watching the Sunderland game on MOD.  The first penalty if, as the commentator said was awarded for dangerous play then, the decision should have been an indirect free kick and not a penalty.  If the commentator was incorrect in his assumption and the referee decided it wasn't dangerous play then, the only reason he could award a penalty would be that he considered that the challenge was serious foul play which warrants a red card.  IMO. It was a genuine attempt by the Southampton player to play the ball but by virtue of the Sunderland player dropping his head and the player's foot being high it was no more than an indirect free kick for dangerous play.  If it had played out that way, Sunderland would only have gained one point and, life would be just that little bit easier for us.  On such little things...

I agree with that. The first Sunderland penalty looked bad, but it was a genuine accident rather than a high foot.

Sako looked good for Wolves today.

And the Brentford pitch invasion was a further stain on football's good name. Obviously.

Yes he did.

Brentford have been a hooligan scourge on West London ever since the heyday of gang leaders Sid and Doris Bonkers.
