You'll struggle to find a more depressing 15 minutes or so than the highlights up first on MOTD. Cheating players, a multi million pound team grinding their way Pullis-like to the title and two childish, pathetic excuses for men masquerading as managers.

...and Robbie Savage talking about it after.

We will miss Messi's talent (and Ronaldo) but James just scored a pretty amazing goal, again. I think he could be the next big thing after those gents move on.
Who dat?

James Rodriguez, the columbian who was probably the best player at the world cup and has been superb for Real this year.  I agree, he's a special talent, not quite on the Messi level but he'll be as good as Ronaldo in a year or 2.

I now firmly believe Messi is the best player of all time, it's easy to get all misty-eyed about the likes of Pele, etc but Messi has done it at the ery top level of club football for his entire career.

Err El Diego?

I think Messi is a better player and, importantly in my opinion, Messi seems like a good role model whereas Diego was a nasty little bastard with dubious off-field activities.

As for Ronaldo I don't argue that he scores lots of goals but Messi is much more involved in making things happen for other people, Ronaldo seems to play for himself more often than not.  That's the main reason Bale has struggled because he does the same and you can't have 2 of them.

I know Savage gets a lot of stick but to me someone like Phil Neville stating the bleeding obvious is far worse, at least Savage has some opinions that go against the majority.

No wonder Man. United finished 7th if he was coaching them on the field every day last season.

Jeez watching MOTD highlights of Newcastle Spurs, they are rank, Krull has stopped it being a cricket score.  Can't see them getting another point, how the fuck did we lose to them.

Actually don't mind Neville as a pundit (certainly much better than as an annonucer lol), but to say he was talking a lot of toss at the weekend and his Man Utd bias was starting to show. The bit when he was questioning how the ref had come to a decision, but then conceded that he got the decision spot-on made him look like a right muppet!

I tell you what I never thought they would be in any danger of the drop this season.  Like us in recent past just felt there would always be a few worse teams, but there is no sign of the rut stopping and with seven six games still to play and them only seven points about the drop zone things could get very sweaty on Tyneside indeed!  In some ways it could be a good thing for them as the threat of the drop would send Ashley some kind of message at least.

I do hope John Carver is sweating like scouser in Dixons over their form, given the shite he came out with when we played them.
