Martinez is just trying to get himself fired so he can take over at Barcelona or Real Madrid.

Everton won't go down because four teams would have to improve, one of them by at least six points, but it's good to see another big club starting to struggle, especially one whose supporters think they're so much better than the rest of us.

The one that needs to improve by 6 pts has a game in hand, and a home game against Everton to play.  You mentioned one team always puts a run together about this time. Similarly, one team always plummets from apparent safety about this time.  Everton look good candidates, and the 50/1 odds, bandied about yesterday, of them being relegated are looking very silly.

The team that falls hardly ever goes down. I'd love Everton to go but they have points in the bank.

I have just done one of them predictor thingies, and had us staying up on 33, so many have to play each other down the bottom, but Everton have some decent fixtures at home, where they should get themselves well out of it. I had them on 40.

Decent fixtures like Hull, Leicester, Albion, Stoke, which got them 3 points from draws.

That must have been pessimistic forecasting. I think we will get 11 or 12 points between now and the end of the season.

Not fired but like at Wigan as soon as he relegates  Everton a bigger club will come for his genius mercurial talent! Barca, Real Bayern who knows he options will be limitless.

What a good night. Third winning acca in a week. Man City, Man Utd, Arsenal, Spurs, Chelsea and Liverpool. 13/1. And three of those results did The Villa a favour. Pretty much the perfect storm.

Everton should have gone twenty years ago instead of Bolton.

They will be alright though in the end, as we will be and Sunderland I think.

Watching Match of the Day now and Arsenal should be steamrolling QPR.

Don't see Everton being in any danger, but they have massively underperformed this season.

Sunderland are a bit of mess at the moment and Poyet is losing a grip. So we've got to win that. Win it, leapfrog them and kick some dirt in their eyes as we pass them. That could really damage them and help us.

I didn't realise we're only 3 points behind Everton. I don't think they'll go down though. They've got the quality to come through, but given the signings they made and squad they have, there's an argument that they're have probably the worst season of anyone this season. I mean we're bad but we've not got a good squad. Martinez will be lucky not to get the bullet in the summer. He's woefully underachieved.
