Well as far as the past 24 hours results go, that's about as good as it could have got, bar Sunderland.

And even that was against another struggling side.

I'd rather gain two points on both of them than three and zero. A perfect round of results. Only a Blackpool win could have improved it.

We've got a decent lead over Leicester, and Burnley's next 4 games are horrific (for them).

Our game against Sunderland will be massive.

Can't blame them really, no way should they be this bad with the quality they have.

The spooky correlation between us and Everton goes on.

Maybe they will start to give Moyes a bit more credit for what he achieved, they were quick to rubbish his efforts last season.

Everton are right in it at the moment. 2 League wins in over 3 months. Once since Christmas. 3 league goals this year and 2 were against Leicester.

I can't believe how stealthily they seem to have managed to sink to our level.

When Martinez got the job it was all "oooh, he's going to bring Wigan's flair to Moyes's side's solidity". Looks like he's actually brought Wigan's defence.

It is amazing how many managers have 1st season over achievement followed by second season syndrome these days, and I said this was the season to judge Martinez. Similar to Clarke at Albion, walking into a really well drilled and structured setup following Hodgson and making it better is all well and good, but you have to be able to plan a way of sustaining that. Their big Belgian struggling in a very similar way to ours has hurt them, but Martinez has a lot more questions than answers against him, and has actually been relegated.

Moyes back to Everton? Many of the fans were glad to see the back of him because they were bored and frustrated by his inability to deliver a trophy and tactics. I can't see him him going back at all, but a job like Newcastle or West Ham if they ditch Allardyce might be appealing. Both have numpty owners mind you.

Quick word on Mark Hughes.
He's doing a great job with a very average set of players.

Everton won't go down because four teams would have to improve, one of them by at least six points, but it's good to see another big club starting to struggle, especially one whose supporters think they're so much better than the rest of us.

It's been awhile, but I might give Match of the Day a watch tonight.

Does Des Lynam still present it?

Been a while for me, too. Not watched it at all since we've been shit.

I hope Kenneth Wolstenholme does the commentary on our highlights.

"Some of the crowd are bitter morons, they think it's all over , it am now!"
