Another Keown gem tonight was when he seemed to suggest that we were lining up Hoddle for the job.  Well I don't know who his sources are, but I think I'd take him over Hoddle...

I'd take having Lambert back over Hoddle

You will pay for that comment by coming back in another life as an arrogant Spurs fan with bad perm, a reputation for being soft that will be replaced by a reputation for being a bit mad and people will call you Glenda. You will also make one of the worst records of all time.

On the other hand some people will suggest you should play 100 times for England.

So Rangers are now third in the newly formed Scottish three club league.

Romelu Lukaku has stunned Everton by saying he would like to move to a 'top club' after less than a season since making his move from Chelsea permanent.

The Toffees broke their transfer record with a £28million deal to lure the Belgium international away from Stamford Bridge last summer.

The 21-year-old has struggled to replicate the form that convinced Roberto Martinez to sign him after a prolific loan spell last season, although he has still managed 10 goals from 36 appearances so far this term.

Lukaku returned to his former club for Everton's last-minute 1-0 defeat on Wednesday where he spoke of his desire to move to a club with greater ambitions.

'It was brilliant to play at Chelsea and I had a good reception,' Lukaku told The Sun.

'They know I'm a good player but that I want to develop so I can eventually get back to playing for a club like Chelsea.

'I don't have a secret ambition to rejoin — there are other clubs in the world. I just want to grow as a player and eventually arrive at a top club again.'

I saw him in a recent game for Everton and remember thinking how poor, slow, carrying a few extra pounds and generally disinterested he looked.

Mourinho has a great recent record for selling players for big money and Lukaku is definitely one of them

I think Lukaku's original motivation was to prove himself to Chelsea. Since signing permanently he hasn't looked the same player that he was when he was on the loan deal.

I guess the big club thing rules us out right? lol.

I always thought that Everton was a good fit for him.  They needed a target man type striker who could bring others into play, but could is also fairly consistent in front of goal and he needed a reasonble size club where he could become the vocal point of the team and have a chance to develop.  To me he is still a young player learning his game, and due to his in different form this season I don't think he could get a bigger club than Everton right now.

Win-win. Either the Stripeys or one of the favourites go out.

I'll take a quarter final against the Baggies at Villa Park, please. It's written in the stars we're going to play them twice with a week; in the league on March 3rd then in the cup on the 7th.
